What if Raditz had died right away and did not tell Piccolo about Nappa and Vegeta. What would Piccolo have done with no reason to help the humans and with Goku gone?

He'd probably still be interested in Gohan and using him as he pleased. The difference here is the Saiyans coming would've been unexpected. At most I think while everyone would've trained but since they aren't expecting anymore trouble, they may not train as hard enough. I think they'd still all get passed, or near Raditz's level just by the nature of time alone but its not like anything would change.

Nappa would still come and whoop their hind ends, Goku would still learn Kaio-Ken and the Genki-Dama.

The only difference I see is that, the Saiyans themselves are not expected and our heroes may be a bit weaker than they normally would be, not that training would've changed anything in the long run.

To me it's just kind of like.

*Saiyans attack*

Piccolo: Who the *** are you people!?

Nappa: We be Saiyans!

commence a huge line of *** whoopings until Goku finally flies in to save the day like he did before.

Lol Brofist-Sama.
But why would Goku learn Kaioken and Genki dama? Why would he receive it? The only reason he travelled to King Kai's place is because he had to be stronger than the saiyans, I think the others would just restore him back to life.

I think Kami mentioned something about Piccolo knowing his death was near, and because of this, he wanted to pass on some of his knowledge before he died.
This could've been filler, but I don't believe it is.

So I like to believe that he would've trained Gohan, regardless if he knew about the Saiyans or not.

Kami said that in the manga too. Piccolo wanted to leave something to the world, even if this thing was Son Goku's son. So yeah, the course of the events at the Saiyan arc wouldn't be radically changed, but if the humans didn't train for the battle, Kuririn would die too, so he wouldn't have the idea to travel to Namek, what means no Freeza arc. Goku would probably stay to train in the otherworld and them defeat the Saiyans, but he would be killed by the androids because no Freeza arc means no Super Saiyan.

So even at that point Piccolo no longer had the intention to be evil and /or rule the world?

Kami noted that Piccolo was losing his evil. He noticed this when Raditz went to the otherworld, because before that, everyone killed by demons like Piccolo and his father had their souls trapped in the real world, never managing to get rest. He was still evil, but not nearly as much as he was before.

This is all in the manga, i am sure. It's not some random filler thing.

I'm pretty sure he did say he was still planning on ruling the world, at one point when training Gohan he says he's training the kid that might be his most formidable foe one day. So since he saw Gohan as a massive threat, and with no reason to keep him around to beat the Saiyans, he might have just killed him right there.

He was still expressing feelings about wanting to take over the world, yes. It's implied that he was still evil, but not as much as he used to be. I don't think he would kill Gohan, but there's no actual way to know what would happen.
