	list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

It also has cut through everything we've seen so far. The latter takes a long time to make and the only reason he was able to connect it on higher level opponents was through clones and trickery (same as Krillin).

Posts: 9,150 Group: Member Member #5,265 Joined: September 24, 2010 Gender Not Specified Favourite Anime dragonball/z/gt/movies What Browser do you use? internet explorer or firefox	NTCM naruto was making them pretty quickly. also, the rasenshuriken can be much bigger than the kienzan, making it easier to hit with. it also explodes on impact, so even if you don't get a direct hit. you can still do some damage. naruto is also able to redirect the attack if he misses, giving him an extra chance at doing damage. combined with the shadow shuriken technique, he can hide one rasenshuriken behind another, ensuring that at least one hits. so yes, the kienzan may be the more powerful technique, but the topic was which was more useful in battle, and that is clearly the rasenshuriken which, unlike the kienzan, can actually hit the opponent. in the entire series, the kienzan has scored a total of 1 direct hit, and that was frieza's own kienzan against himself. that's how bad it is at actually connecting.

It cuts through people who are significantly stronger.

If Goku used Rasenshuriken you can bet it would be a lot more powerful than any Kienzan shown. I would say Rasenshuriken, Kienzan has more cutting force but it's easily dodged and if you lose an arm well...you're not dead are you? If you get hit with Rasenshuriken there's basically no hope for you unless you're immortal or vastly more powerful than the user, plus it can be remote detonated/extended. People who are significantly stronger would just dodge it(talking about Kienzan here) in any other series most shounen characters aren't as dumb as DB characters. Frieza for example, like hell he couldn't have dodged that easily add to that that he couldn't sense, most characters in a shounen involving some kind of energy can sense it. Rasenshuriken doesn't have to be thrown so that gives it an advantage in reaching it's target. Debatable but it doesn't seem to have the same kind of speed as Rasenshuriken either. And if you're talking Frieza's does he not have to control it himself or is that filler? Because if he does that leaves the user wide open from being attacked by someone else where Rasenshuriken can be a throw-and-forget kind of deal if your aiming isn't terrible. Naruto never really used it on anyone faster than himself, heck the Third Raikage dodged it and he was slower than Naruto. Kienzan was able to at least nick opponents that were faster than the user, and the times it was dodged, the person who dodged it was faster. Perhaps this shows that a Kienzan used by Goku would be faster than a Rasenshuriken used by him. Both are essentially one hit kills, Rasenshuriken slightly more fatal, but slower IMO. I'll go with the Kienzan for the speed.

Vegeta made a Kienzan-esque attack and chopped off Gohan's tail. Goku made a Kienzan in no time flat and threw it at Bootenks and cut him in two, Bootenks whom was vastly superior to Base Goku.
