Would it make them any more useful down the road, post-Freeza fight?

Eventually, no.

Probably not. It's not going to put them within fighting range of any characters they otherwise would have got stomped by. Depending on how much above Freeza they are, of course.

Since I believe Mecha Frieza was stronger than several villains that came after him, absolutely. And at that level, who knows how powerful Tien's tribeam would be.

If Yamcha and Tien learned the fusion technique, that could be useful.

No, it wouldn't. Honestly, it wouldn't even change the plot if they were stronger than Frieza at the beginning of the Android Saga (I used to believe they actually WERE stronger than him at the beginning of the Android Saga for reference).

Now if they had access to the Kaioken as well...it'd help.

Piccolo can easily rip frieza apart but his power means nothing during the buu saga so the humans wouldn't be much help either even if they were stronger than frieza

You could have the humans stronger than Android 16 without it making a difference.

True.

I was seemingly curious because I've seen so many fight for the humans being at least stronger than Freeza, and at some point I'm just wondering why? They're useless regardless of that.

You would need the humans to be rivalling the Super Saiyans at all times just to be mentioned. After the rosat, they just got too far from everybody.

If the humans were stronger than Frieza.....

Why couldn't they beat Gero's gate?

What. If they were that strong they would have destroyed 16, 17 and 18 which means Cell cannot transform and then would get stomped by yet another human.

I can't believe you got 3 likes for that statement.
