Ok so bare with me, havnt watched dbz in over a year and when I did I wasn't looking out for things, just watching it for what it was, but last night I kind of thought of something and I figured id ask.. When someone dies and gets revived are they put back into their original dead bodies? or are they put into a new body? when goku gets to keep his body and go to king kai planet and all the stuff, is that the same exact body he died it? do they just pull it off the earth? I ask this because i thought some people in the series were just put back into their dead bodies after being revived, but if that happened to goku wouldn't his gains from other world make no sense? if hes a completely different body. this actually might not make any sense to anyone cuz i don't even get what im talking about anymore. |

Well, I have a vague notion, maybe incorrectly, that they took Goku's body away after he died against with Raditz to hold onto it; though I think that's incorrect. I said it's a vague notion. What about this. Chaoutzu definitely gets a new body considering his body was completely blown up; Vegeta as well. And Tien's arm was cut off but he got a new arm when he was revived. So I'm inclined to say they get a new body. |

In the early arcs of the series, it seems people were ressurected into their original bodies. In the King Piccolo arc, they even build a criogenic capsule to put Kuririn's corpse inside so it stays intact. In the Saiyan arc they also seem to worry about the safety of the corpses, as Goku wants to battle with Vegeta in another place so the bodies of his friends aren't destroyed in the fight. In later arcs this concern doesn't appear anymore, so it's unclear if they're brought back to their original bodys or to new ones, but given the circunstances (things like Goku blowing up and still being able to train), i assume they get new ones. |

ok so if the ones who get put back into original bodies, shouldn't their gains from other world not count once put back into their original bodies? doesnt that just not make any sense? like i know its still their body but when ginyu goes into gokus body he cant keep his full power. isint that kind of the same thing? or did they just need to work a bit to regain the powers from other world? idn |

The manga gives a explantion to why Chaozu was able to train in Kaio's planet after having his body destroyed. Yamcha says that Kami repaired Chaozu's body so he could go train with them. You could assume that this happened to other character after their deaths, that their original bodies were "repaired" so they could still train. |

if you keep your body after death, it is your body. your body disappears from earth, is repaired, and you continue to use the same body. if you don't keep your body, then your body remains on earth and decomposes normally. the dragon is perfectly capable of repairing damaged bodies as part of the wish to revive someone, but early arc characters didn't know that, so they took care to preserve the corpses. |

list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god | |

I think I've also came across something where reincarnation occurs as well when someone dies. The Earth Z-Gang didn't need this to them because of being the main characters of course. |

In the manga, it seems everything left of Kibito's body was dust. |
