I found this forum by total accident searching for merchandise, haha. The URL being .co.uk enticed me further as I'm in the UK.

I've used this username since the early days of mainstream internet usage and AOL, back at a time when I was obsessed with DBZ. Back then, I was meeting people through AOL and DBZmail (anyone remember that place??) and saving screen shots from DBZ to floppy disks. I had to get my sister, who lives in Australia, to buy DBZ VHS tapes online and post them to me in the UK. Because at the time, they weren't released here, and the US imports were the incorrect region! Haha.

I fell out of interest with it in about 2003, switching over to the Sonic fandom, but for some reason last year I rekindled my interest.

So here I am, after a 10 year hiatus, back in the community. A LOT HAS CHANGED. So go easy on me. Of course, I've chosen to return at a time when DBZ seems to have completely dropped off the radar... What's up with that? The fandom seems to have died? :(

So yeah... Vegeta fan, artist, roller coaster enthusiast, here to hopefully make new friends and catch up on the DECADE missed.

Hi. :)

Hey, welcome to DBZF! I don't think the fandom has died out, this place is always active. And there have been recent new additions to the DBZ franchise: check out Battle of Gods and Son Goku and his Friends Return (there might be others, but those are the two recent ones I know of).

Hope you stick around and stay active! And if you want, showcase some of your art!

Roller coaster enthusiast eh? Ever been to Thorde Park or Alton Towers? I don't live in England but I have been to the both of those a good few years ago and they had some amazing rides! Oblivion in Alton Towers was the best!

Yeah I know of the recent films. :) Maybe I've come back at a good time really. Just felt like the community was a little quiet unless you knew where to look for it again.

Thanks, and I will do once I get my bearings.

Of course! Oblivion is great. :) Where are you from? I travel a lot to visit theme parks, so there's a chance I've been to your local park too. I've done a few in mainland Europe and most of the US east coast.

Oh and Sly Cooper is awesome. <3

D'awh, wish I could say there's a local theme park here, but no, I'm not that privileged. I live in Ireland, *Wave* and so often enough I only have carnivals to rely on for 'coasters.

Yes, yes he is. :D Have you played the new game Sly 4? I find it wasn't as good as the previous games, but kudos to Sanzaru Games for taking over development.

There's a major coaster in the plans for Ireland. :) Whether or not it'll happen is another matter, but... http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/tayto-park-could-get-europes-2nd-biggest-roller-coaster-in-2015-29888060.html

I haven't played Sly 4 no. I'm not really into gaming much these days. :( I liked the second game the best. :)

Oh. Tayto Land. That's up in Mayo I think. Again, a bit of a stretch for me to travel but I might go during the summer.

That's the first Sly game I got. It is quite good!

Nice artwork by the way, forgot to mention it earlier. :)

I guess it would be appropriate to welcome you back to the fandom. So welcome back, and welcome to DBZF!

I look forward to seeing you around.
The fandom has died a little, but in the context, how much can you honestly discuss about a 30 year old series, and how many times can you discuss the same topic over and over again? The only thing that changes is the people of whom you discuss it with.

What kind of merch were you looking for? My forte is figures.

Thanks for the welcome!

I suppose you're right. I think it doesn't help that the fandom I remember was limited by technology - there was so much to find out, so many videos to download that took hours and hours, that wasn't conventionally accessible to the UK audience.

Fan works are where it's at though. :)

I was looking for that awesome pink Buu t-shirt for a price I didn't mind paying. Found it in the end on AnimUK. :)

I got the S.H. Vegeta back in October it's ammmaaaazing. <3

Welcome to dbzf! You seem like quite the cool customer, glad to have you here.

And you are definitely right about the fandom beginning to die, but Ketchup is right. A series that old is sure to die off eventually :p

Still, this and Kanzenshuu are two very active DBZ forums, so you've definitely come to the right place. I hope you enjoy yourself here, it's a lot of fun.
