Yes we can we KNOW trunks and Vegetta got hits in, its shown multiple times, we never see piccolo get any hits in You saying him standing = being close to them is way worse it proves nothing that he can stand against them What we know Trunks and veggeta get hits in, and are standing Piccolo is never shown getting hits but is standing. standing dose not = being able to hit them someone being able to stand but not hit them is far weakr then someone being able to stand and hit them (and do little to nothing) Edited by wolfie, Jan 12 2014, 11:08 PM.

You're able to believe whatever you want, like maybe Piccolo used his stretchy arms at some point in the fight, but it's hardly solid when there's so little to go on and what we do have is vague at best. In no way is Base Gohan as strong as SSJ Vegeta and Trunks and BA Vegeta was implied to have not surpassed CG Gohan yet. Conclusion, Pyro?

Only Vegeta and Trunks stand a chance as pointed out by Cell.

Goku complimented Piccolo when he figured Cell was suppressed. He knew Cell was holding back a large quantity of power, hence why he went to examine him. Piccolo is a pretty smart guy. He met Cell in battle, and watched Semi-Perfect Cell from the lookout. He saw during both transformations that Cell was holding back at some point, and was never outputting his full power. So I'm pretty sure Piccolo could be considering Cell's estimated power when saying he would be useless.
