It's never directly stated how much stronger Teen Gohan was than his father. We pretty much only know he is because he was able to achieve SSJ2 first. I'm not looking for how much stronger SSJ2 Gohan was than MSSJ Goku, I want to get an idea just how much stronger MSSJ Gohan was than MSSJ Goku? What do you reckon, a 1.1x, 1.2x difference, etc? |

I reckon it's a pretty decent gap between father and son. Gohan considered his dad to be playing around, and didn't even think that he was being serious. Gohan then came in and powered up, surprising everyone including Cell. He was even strong/fast enough to force Cell to use his True Speed. I've generally used something like a 1.3-1.35x gap between the two of them. It's enough for Goku to have extreme confidence in Gohan, and for Gohan to think Goku is a joke.

We don't only know he's stronger because he turned ssj2. Goku basically said gohan is stronger. It's kind of hard to say how much stronger he was than him because the general consensus is that ssj2 goku is only a little stronger than ssj2 teen gohan which I think is stupid since goku has had 7 years of "impossibly hard training". That makes it seem like gohan was a hell of a lot stronger than goku was during cell games but I don't think he could've been anymore than 1.3x stronger. Goku had to have gotten big increase during the 7 years though

I will mirror most of what has already been said. Gohan has to be a good bit stronger than Goku because he literally thought Goku was holding back. That means Gohan thought Goku was using something like 70% of his power(pulling this out of my a*** but it's a good estimate I'd say) and though Goku was actually using 100% of his power. That's a 30% difference and thus I give him the 1.3x edge over Goku. Think about it; just the very notion of Goku being at maximum power is unfathomable to Gohan. This is because Gohan couldn't imagine being stronger than his father. This means that whatever difference between what Gohan perceived as Goku's "holding back power" and what his actual max was is the difference between their two powers. So, if Gohan thought his dad was holding back half his power, then that's the difference between their two powers because Goku was actually at maximum. That's just an example but you get the idea. Significantly stronger, I'd think. Probably even stronger than Cell when fighting both of them, since both Cell and Gohan looked like they were slacking and not trying their best in Gohan's eyes. Not to mention how easily Gohan was avoiding at first and then recovering from Cell's attacks, and knocked him on his tush with one half-hearted kick. Here's how I have them... SSJ Goku - 2500 Cell (Vs Goku, Gohan) - 3000 SSJ Gohan - 3500 A big gap between Goku and Gohan, with Cell smack dab in the middle. Edited by Kaboom, Jan 2 2014, 04:45 AM.

It was the difference where a Cell could be one or two steps a head of Goku, beat his *** open and still have room to fight after losing stamina. But then a Cell just as strong (If not stronger as he did just eat a bean and acknowledged that Gohan was stronger than Gohan) Could not so much as hit Gohan until he used his true speed and after doing an attack which everyone (minus Goku) thought had killed Gohan, again a guy already stated to be more powerful than Goku, comes out with nothing more than superficial wounds a not a drop of ki.) Beyond putting numbers on it, its pretty darn significant. |

I actually put Gohan and Cell a little closer, perhaps almost even. Goku was strong enough to give Cell a run for his money, even if he never had a chance of beating him. I have Gohan and Cell about the same, maybe have Gohan a little below him. Super Saiyan 2 was 2x MSSj Gohan, and is seen to incapacitate Cell without any notable effort. However, his rage boost can also throw off numbers. So... MSSJ Gohan: 90 Cell: 95 FP Cell (pre zenkai): 120 SSj2 Gohan (minimum): 180 SSj2 Gohan (w/ rage boost): 200 Cell (Post Zenkai): 190 SSj2 Gohan (after injury): 120 That gives SSj2 Gohan (at his weakest) a 25% advantage over Full power Cell. With rage, that percentage is even higher. 67% (rounded) to be exact. Of course these are my numbers. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Jan 2 2014, 06:20 AM.
