The Saibaman only touched Yamcha once in the fight...

And a better example for Yamcha not being able to escape Saibaman's grasp would be Goku and Ginyu. Both fighters were suppressed to a nearly even level, yet Goku said he needed to use Kaioken to escape from Ginyu. This shows us that one should be a minimum of 2x stronger to escape a tight hold like that. We know Yamcha is not that much stronger than Saibaman, so he could not escape. Not to mention how little of time he had to react. Literally the Saibaman jumped on him and exploded, giving him no time.
That doesn't mean anything of the sort. Goku probably overexerted himself just to be sure he could escape, that doesn't mean he needed exactly that much strength to do so.
What? Goku never escaped, Ginyu let him go.

Chapter: 284 (DBZ 90), P12.4
Context: Ginyu seems to have Goku at his mercy
Goku: “In…incredible power! I can’t get loose! N-no choice…In this case, I gotta use the Kaio-Ken…!”

We know that Ginyu was still suppressed by a good amount. He was likely below 85 000, because that was what he predicted Goku's maximum to be. Goku's full power is 90 000, which he had not been using. So Goku obviously knew that not even his full 90 000 would allow him to escape, he needed to double his power to break free.

The grip is only one side of my argument.

-Fight was even until K-wave
-Yamcha's blast still didn't kill Saibaman
-He couldn't break free.
-He was killed by the self-destruct.

Not sure how anyone can argue Yamcha being the clear winner here. In DBZ the fight isn't over until it's over......

You originally claimed Goku escaped, not me, so fail right there. Plus you are making things up.

"So Goku obviously knew that not even his full 90 000 would allow him to escape, he needed to double his power to break free."

All out of your mouth and completely subjective...no proof....only opinion.
Wtf when did I ever say that he did escape. The original quote:

SuperSaiyan2

Goku said he needed to use Kaioken to escape from Ginyu.

How is it opinion if Goku said it himself? No matter which way you slice it, Goku's Kaioken is going to be stronger than his full power. He was implied to be fighting at a level above that of 60 000, so his Kaioken would give him a minimum of 120 000. Goku makes it fact by saying that he needs Kaioken to escape. His full power is not going to cut it, and it really doesn't matter if you like it or not. Breaking out of hold is a very good feat, so obviously Yamcha would not be able to break out of Saibaman's. We have not once claimed that Yamcha has a huge advantage over him, all we are saying is that he is clearly superior, and outside of the rivalling range.

The argument is that Yamcha IS in rivaling range and no claims thus far have proven otherwise.

-Fight was even until K-wave
-Yamcha's blast still didn't kill Saibaman
-He couldn't break free.
-He was killed by the self-destruct.

You can keep telling yourself that bud. As far as I'm concerned the point has been proven.

You have a nice day.

Uh huh. Don't enter into an argument you can't finish and say bye when you cannot come up with anything else.

That's not the case at all. I laid out the fight completely clearly, and then you went and changed it.

Quote:

-Fight was even until K-wave
-Yamcha's blast still didn't kill Saibaman
-He couldn't break free.
-He was killed by the self-destruct.

-Wrong. If you paid attention they had one even looking scuffle. The second hand to hand fight showed Yamcha punching Saibaman in the face at the same time as blocking his punch.

-How often does a Kamehameha kill the opponent? Just look at Kaioken x4 Goku vs Vegeta. Goku has a clear power advantage, yet Vegeta was fine after being hit by the blast.

-Already proved why this doesn't matter. Breaking out of a hold is a massive feat.

-A self destruct is an easy kill, I'm not sure why you think this shows that they are rivalling. Chaotzu had a puny power level when he attempted to kill Nappa, and Nappa still had to be extremely careful and block it. He could have been in serious trouble if he didn't block it. Yamcha had NO chance to block this self destruct, because he was tied up.

Why are you using your evidence with an anime video on Youtube? We don't use anime lol.

....Most of the fight was off-screen evenly matched super speed fighting. You conveniently forget to mention the Saibaman dodging Yamcha and throwing him up into the air like a doll. You are purposefully looking for anything that goes long with your argument and just ignore anything else.

Krillin easily destroys the other Saibamen without Kamehameha and does so very quickly. Piccolo and Tien dispatched Saibaman easily too, and they were either dead or couldn't move.

Yamcha's opponet not only survived but also had the strength left to hold Yamcha still + kill in him an explosion. You do not have a leg to stand on in this debate.

It seems like you don't have the required reading comprehension for this discussion. It is ONE OF the reasons I gave for their rivaling PL, not the only reason or even the main reason.

Vegeta told Saibaman not to hold back after the fight with Tien. So bringing up the others is invalid.

How does that make Piccolo and Krillin invalid?

The debate has ended now that I know you are going by the anime. You just ruined your own argument by saying that Saibaman dodged Yamcha and threw him into the air. This did not happen once in the manga, which I am conveniently reading right now, so I suggest you stop being so confident in your argument.

1200 and 1500 CAN be a "rivaling gap," and sometimes it isn't. All it has to mean is that they're close in power. Protesting this stuff is just falling into the same old "at what power gap can you fight someone" bullcrap again.

I have not said that it cannot be a rivalling gap, however in the case of Yamcha and Saibaman, I don't believe they are rivalling each other. That is what I have been fighting against.
