What's the difference between the original Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z remastered? What's Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Kai? Which should I watch first? Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z and what's the difference between them? A lot of questions but I am really confused out here. Please help guys. |

Dragon Ball is the original story, you should watch that first. Dragon Ball Z and Kai are the next in the storyline, but Dragon Ball Kai is basically a shorter version of Dragon Ball Z. They are both the same story wise but Kai cuts out a lot of the useless stuff from Z. GT is the final one, so watch that one last. |

Ahhhh, thank you for the quick reply. What was the show they showed on TV with Goku learning everything, Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z? And which one among them was aired first? |

It goes DB to dbz to gt. Kai is the most recent one. It's dbz but with useless stuff cut out and script and the music is different. Watch DB first. You could actually skip up to episode 94 or 95 or somewhere around there. That's what did. I don't like most of the stuff before that. It's probably smarter to watch it all though. Actually I watched dbz and GT first when I was younger. And then I finally brought myself to watch db. You don't actually need to watch db but it gives a lot background on the characters that you will see in dbz and GT. There's also some good fight scenes

So Dragon Ball -> Dragon Ball Z -> Dragon Ball GT -> Dragon Ball Kai. That's how I watch it right? Can download links be provided on this forum? I didn't see anything in the rules. If they can be provided, then can someone provide me good quality torrents? EDIT: Do I watch Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball Z remastered? What's the difference between them? Watch Dragon Ball. then Dragon Ball Z (or Kai). If you decide to watch DB Kai instead of Z, watch the Buu Saga from DBZ [195-289] and then make sure you watch the Bardock special and the Trunks special. Finally, you can watch GT, but it's way worse than DB and DBZ, so don't expect too much.

You don't have to watch kai at all. It's just a remade dbz where the dialogue is more true to the manga(comics). Personally I don't like kai because the voices aren't as good and neither is the music. Also some of the "useless" stuff was actually pretty fun to watch |

DB Kai has 97 episodes + one special. It has less filler, new soundtrack (which I consider it to be worse than the Japanese Soundtrack) and a more polished animation (not that much, but still). It doesn't contain the last arc in the manga, the Buu Arc. DBZ has 289 episodes and 2 filler arcs (the last one is actually nice). |

Okay thank you for all this information but what's the difference between original Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z remastered? Is there any difference or no difference at all? Also, any download links? |

I don't think there is much of a difference between remastered and original |

Okay thanks. Is providing download links allowed here? I am unable to find any good torrent with good or terrible quality for Dragon Ball. Edited by Lulaso, Dec 29 2013, 05:21 PM.

Personally I would watch Kai instead of the original Z if I were you. Because as people pointed out, Z has a TON of filler (extra sh*t like the Garlic jr saga etc) and Kai takes out the fillers (so less bullcrap, more main storyline). Which makes everything feel dragged out. Like you will literally start to become annoy of how long the story is taking to progress and could start to lose interest. Kai removes all that filler, giving you a much smoother transition to next saga. Only downside is Kai hasn't released the Boo saga yet but I hear they're working on it right now. In the end it's up to you to decide what you want to watch, but like I said, Z has a lot of filler that slows down the story whereas Kai gets right to the point. DBZ to the end of the Freeza saga is 107 episodes, its 194 episodes at the end of Cell. Kai is 98 episodes, covering every scene from Saiyan to Cell saga with the pacing of the manga. Need I say more? |
