After his sub-par fight with Dabura. I've always wondered how much of that was just a show for Babidi, and how much was genuine disappointment in Gohan, knowing from past experiences that he's a much better fighter than what he just saw. |

It must be disappointing for someone who has so much pride in his race to see such a strong fighter let his power slide in favor of studying. Remember, as strong as Goku and Vegeta got they never stopped training just because of the heights they reached. They always kept pushing, and to see Gohan do the opposite and backslide must have been painful for Vegeta's pride in his race. Opinions, of course. |

I think Vegeta always had the plan at the ready once he saw Goku's fight against Yakon but it was Gohan's act that finally broke the straw on the camel's back. He was getting impatient and he knew he could take out Dabura himself easily and was getting sick of Gohan's piss poor performance. that just pushed him over the edge. Where as he might have waited a bit longer and may have directly sought Babidi's help at some point, he just got so irked with the guy that he let his steam loose and Dabura took that time to talk to Babidi about him. Had Gohan not been a little *****, Vegeta probably wouldn't have said anything until it was time to meet Babidi in which he'd most likely betray everyone for power and yadayada, some other stuff. |

While we're discussing this topic, am I the only one who thought it was a little bit out of character for Vegeta to resort to using Babadi and the Majin power unlock? That never sat right with me, and Goku's criticism of him for it was actually the same thing I'd criticize Toriyama for, it didn't fit his personality (to admit he couldn't surpass Goku and abandon the belief that he was really superior).
