That's a great idea because it's not necessarily who can prove their point in such a subjective series like this but who can convey their argument in the most effective manner. That's why I said concision and clarity should be judging points because it's not about the argument actually being correct as much at is who can convey the argument in the most efficient manner possible. Example; two debaters agree on an issue like SSj(2) Gohan vs Dabura. One guy collects manga statements, feats and Daizenshuu references but it's an entirely incoherent mess while his opponent collects just statements and feats but is able to convey his point with precision, clarity and even address common counter arguments. They both agree on the issue but one is much more effective because the way his argument is actually formatted and addressed despite not having as many references supporting his actual argument. This is me personally, but I'd take a good argument that has a solid framework over a messy argument with more sources listed. Granted I'm not suggesting that more information=bad because you want to give an argument the most strength it possibly can have, it's just having all meat and no bone doesn't constitute an effective argument in my opinion. I'm a terrible example of this, if you couldn't tell by THIS^ post haha

I try, xD. Anyways if for whatever reason we can't get an 8th person (cause I don't want to wait too long for someone if possible, again another problem we faced is that the tournament gets ready and then it takes like two weeks to get started) We do as I said before, the whole send information to the judges. However the topics we get are random, meaning we have no control on what they are, so this could be movies, Z, GT, early Dragon Ball, etc. Either each person gets the same topic, or each person gets a separate topic (I'd go more for the former but up to all of you) Each person does as I said, gives out information to the judges. However in this case, it's a knockout round and after each round, the person the judges feel have delivered the least amount of credible evidence to their side is knocked out and we continue that option until we get 4 people, then we can get an debate against one another from there, just to have something of an option. |

Interesting idea. And then after the match is judged, perhaps the evidence could be posted in a topic for the forum to see? |

My main worry are Dragonball questions and GT questions, save for the Shadow Dragon Saga as i'm not familiar with those compared to Z |

Don't worry, we all have our weaknesses. I've never seen M2, M4, M9, or any of the Dragonball films, so if I was asked about those I would be screwed. Plus I haven't seen many of the movies in years |

We're still waiting on 1 person lol. Brofist recommended we start but how do we do that? Give someone a by? What does everything prefer, tag teams or singles? |

I'm fine with either solo or teams. And sure, we could give one person a by, at least into the second round. However, if we do teams, 7 people will leave one team at a disadvantage. |

They'd have a 1 by advantage though. However, the final would be 2 on 1 which is kinda weird. |

Unless we get that one other person, I suggest we stick with Singles. |
