Freeza's "Earth Splitting Cutter"

According to D7:

D7

A technique that Freeza used during his battle with Goku. Accumulating ki in his fingertips, he swings it down like a whip. This swung ki continues on as if crawling through the earth, cleaving the ground in two. This technique's destructive force is tremendous, creating a deep fissure that extends far off into Planet Namek's horizon. Such destructive force is only 50% of Freeza's power.

So my question is: What kind of damage would this attack do if Freeza was at 100% power? Would it cut twice as far into the planet? Would it amplify? What do you think?

I think he could cut the Solar-System in half.

those finger beams are supposed to penetrate smoothly through the target and in a straight line but when shown in anime goku deflects them.
it should be impossible to block a move like that even if yamcha was the one using it, its like a needle think about it like this if you threw a SUPER SHARP NEEDLE very thin and thrown Lightning fast ( but you can see it ) how do you deflect it itl run through you. and when goku deflects them it and it hits the ground its like a ki blast damage and not smoothly penetrating the ground

I assume the attack would do twice as much damage, he'd cut twice as far etc etc.

it's just a ray type attack, like the dodonpa or special beam cannon. they're thin, so they're hard to block, but not impossible.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

Goku had no trouble blocking and deflecting Freeza's finger beam attack. As a Super Saiyan, he even allowed Freeza to hit him in the face with it.

As for the OP, I really believe that Freeza could've nearly split the planet in two if he'd done it at 100%. He seemed to do plenty of damage with the one he did at 50%.

at the power level they were fighting at, splitting the planet wouldn't exactly be a major feat. it also wouldn't actually do much damage to the planet, since the two halves would just move a half inch together and seal themselves back. be some earthquakes, sure, but nothing horrendous.

If he split the core, that wouldn't be much different than what eventually happened when he deliberately did it later in the fight.

frieza didn't split the core later, he disintegrated it. a split core just welds together from the heat. a disintegrated core builds up pressure and explodes.

That's all purely speculative. I don't see how you could possibly know that.

Debating with you in the past, I'm well aware that you're fond of applying real-life physics to DB. I personally don't see how you can make a valid argument off of that being that DB obviously doesn't follow real-life physics as Toriyama himself is no physicist, and makes no attempt to be.

However, I have nothing to counter your argument other than the fact that I don't see the series in the same way that you do, and therefore simply don't find your reasoning valid.
