How relevant is Piccolo in the Android Arc?

Vegeta seems to think nothing of Piccolo's power, and Piccolo says that if Gero beats him, then Vegeta can finish him off. However, Piccolo then proves to be more powerful than Gero, who had absorbed a blast from Vegeta, and a good deal of energy from Piccolo, enough to force him to eat a senzu bean. So just how close was he to the Super Saiyans at that time? At the absolute minimum, I think he should be stronger than Yardrat SSJ Goku. If I had to put it into numbers, I think it would look like this: SSJ Yardrat Goku: 250 Piccolo (Android Arc): 400 SSJ Trunks: 450 SSJ Android Arc Goku: 500 SSJ Vegeta: 550 Does this seem about right? So I would put him at close to Trunks tier , but not too close since Piccolo admitted that "not even the super saiyans Vegeta and Trunks could beat the androids" , as that refers him being not in the same category.
