Not necessarily, his Bankai shouldn't be any different just stronger as he is, but it gives him no kind of strength boost.
Though he's clearly hax improved physically so dodging the Bankai and attacking him is no longer a viable strategy. EDIT unless you're way stronger than Mighty Mask.

His cannon thing should be major strong now though...

But isn't it possible that it changed?

He beat down and hurt Mask with a simple elbow, grabbed his falcon punch, and sliced him in half.

Well, it shouldn't be different unless the whole breaking of a Bankai thing has been retconned. His Shikai is the exact same so it will be weird if the Bankai is different in look or ability.

Well, we don't know if Ultimate Muscle is actually dead or if James is for real. I highly doubt it's over, dude hasn't even went Vollstandig yet and Renji still has more to show off. James is probably fine and will heal Luchador Místico again at which point Renji will need to totally destroy him.

I mean he did say "Why are you all wounded!?" Not "Oh my god you killed James"
But then the guy is an idiot...

I believe Kubo confirmed that Renji's Bankai had changed (source: an Eliteace video?). Recall that he had his zanpakuto reforged by the forger.

Hmm, maybe it is the same Zanpakuto as in the spirit but has taken a new true form.

Given his boost perhaps he does have a permanent Shikai like Ichigo and Kenpachi, seems as though he must have made his reiatsu stronger anyway. A lot stronger.
