South Kaioshin strengthened him. Dai-Kaioshin weakened him. Only Dai-Kaioshin is specifically mentioned when Kibitoshin mentions that he was weakened so that should be enough evidence to assume only Dai-Kaioshin weakened him. |

If Super Buu >> Kid Buu, I'd just say that the power he absorbs from people is random and meant to advance the plot (although I guess you could say it's a Kaioshin thing since everything else works all right). |

I don't take Goku as the type to say he can take someone based on size alone. It defeats the very principle of why they're powerful in the first place; ki manipulation. Take Frieza for instance. Judge him by his size, do you? And well you should not, for his ally, is his ki. And a powerful ally it is. But seriously, there is no Kid Buu nonsense... Kid Buu absorbs the South Kai. Because of his immense power, he becomes stronger.(buff Buu, seen and referenced) Kid Buu absorbs the Dai-Kai. Because of his good nature, he loses power and becomes Fat Buu. (we know this guy!) Kaioshin: “In m…my era there were five Kaioshins…until they were defeated by the Majin Boo that the wizard Babidi created…I was the youngest and most powerless one, but I somehow survived, with only heavy injuries…But the other four fell to Boo…First, two were killed…the North Kaioshin and the West Kaioshin….And then the South Kaioshin, the burliest and strongest one, was…somehow absorbed by Boo….. “ Elder Kaioshin: …And he became that huge Boo from before? “ Kaioshin: “…Yes…Next to be absorbed was the fat but kind and gentle Dai-Kaioshin….The Majin Boo that Bibidi created was evil itself, a failed creation that even Bibidi himself couldn’t handle, but by absorbing the Dai-Kaioshin, he somehow become controllable…. “ Elder Kaioshin: “…So he was finally completed…Which is to say…that this current…small Majin Boo…is the initial…mo…most troublesome one…” Kaioshin: “….Yes…the heart which he gained by going so far as to lower his power through absorption[s.]…has returned once again to the way it was…he has no self-control whatsoever…he has become evil itself…” This statement is all I really need to draw my conclusion. It references the "buff Buu" we see, as the Elder Kai says specifically "the huge Boo from before" and it also explains explicitly that by absorbing the Dai-Kai he lost power. This forum is actually pretty reasonable when it comes to this subject, but there are also those people who take everything they see in the games as canon. Plus, Toei kinda does everything it can to portray Ultimate Gohan as weaker than SSj3 Goku. Kinda like they think it was a blunder on Toriyama's part and they have to fix it. Sad. |

I think the effect the Kaioshin have on Majin Boo's power is kind of a wild card. Their natures or personalities probably have more of an impact on him than their actual power. |

Good point. Isn't "god" power supposed to be different than say, ki? So that the South Kaioshin's buff, burly, fighting nature did indeed help his strength, but it wasn't his "actual power"? And the same applies to the Dai Kaioshin? I don't think this is an entirely illogical way to approach this issue considering that the "gods" have a different facet of power besides ki? Just throwing s*** out there. |
