Why do dbz games make gohans age wrong

he is a teen at 11, that age is still a kid
he is an adult in high school, your an adult after college
it should be toddler gohan- namek
kid gohan- cell games
teen gohan- high school
adult gohan- who is ultimate gohan
future gohan

Might be due to the dub. In the older stuff, he got an age boost to 5 at the start of the series.

I wonder how his various age stages are labeled in the Japanese versions of the games.

Yeah I always wondered why teen gohan was called a teen when he's only 11. He's actually only 9 in the manga. Yet he looks like he's 15

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

It's to distinguish between the eras, even though it's completely inaccurate. Gohan is still a "kid" when he fights Cell (age 9, physically 10), but it's a different era and he appears drastically different than himself from earlier. Not to mention, he has Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2.
The easiest explanation is that on paper, it's simply easier to label the two as totally different than to have two "Kid" versions.
And technically, he's not a "Teen" until the Boo Arc.

And I don't really recall him being called "Teen" until the video games came out, and the first Budokai was the first one to do this. The rest just followed this.

Think of it as how a Saiyan's entire outfit can change if they go Super Saiyan.

So....His shoes are Super Saiyan 4?
