I think he did kept the Baby power boost for the reason that we saw Vegeta in Base having the command at the group of the Z fighters and saw us more power than Majuub that already means that Base Vegeta Super 17 arc>Majuub Super 17 arc>SBV2~>Majuub Baby Arc>>>>>>>SSj2 Vegeta Baby arc>>>Base Vegeta Baby arc the chain goes like this so I think in order for Vegeta to close such tremendous gap there is that explaination
