Posts: 1,356 Group: Member Member #7,850 Joined: June 27, 2012 Favourite Anime Dragonball Favourite Manga Dragonball	Okay so I've seen lots of in-universe explanations for Super Buu reverting to Kid Buu rather than Grey Buu but why do you suppose Toriyama decided to make Kid Buu in the first place? Surely he could have just had him go back to Grey Buu and have him serve as the final enemy for Goku. Do you think he considered using Grey Buu again? Or do you think he forgot about Grey Buu altogether in classic Toriyama fasion? Thoughts?

He could have just said Grey Buu powers up lots with rage or something. Instead he chose to make another Buu that was just conveniently much weaker than Super Buu but stronger than Grey Buu even though it raised lots of questions as to how Grey Buu came to be in the first place.

He was there just to create Super Boo. Why use him again?

Grey Boo re-emerging wouldn't have been very exciting or made much sense, as he is weaker than Fat Boo and Goku stated he could take down Fat Boo in SSj3 (full power). Chibi Boo had to be born

Posts: 9,150 Group: Member Member #5,265 Joined: September 24, 2010 Gender Not Specified Favourite Anime dragonball/z/gt/movies What Browser do you use? internet explorer or firefox	remember that the line about being able to kill fat buu was from the kid buu fight. before that, all we had was goku saying he didn't think he could do it. evil buu certainly could have been the final villain, and even had the same story of being the original pure buu, with super buu and fat buu being absorption forms. it would have been a much simpler story. that said, in my buu theory i actually have evil buu = kid buu and good buu = fat buu. when fat buu tried to power up beyond what he had absorbed and tap into his true power, the kaioshin influence in him expelled his original "buu-ness" in the form of grey buu, which is just a corrupted kid buu. that's why when super buu was defused, he went to kid buu, because the corruption on grey buu had had time to wear off and/or was burnt off in all the transformations.
	list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

The way I see it, Super Buu was technically Grey Buu, but much stronger now since he attained all of Good Buu's accessible powers.
