That basically means OP has sold far more than Dragon Ball in less time...and DB's franchise has been continuously milked after the manga ended, so it's not like anyone's forgotten about it. What happens after OP ends happens, but as it stands now, One Piece is undeniably the best-selling manga of all time, and it shows no signs of slowing down. You said One Piece has a chance at passing up Dragon Ball in a few years. This is flat-out incorrect because it has already sold more in its lifetime and it's by far the most popular series in Japan. It's neither a matter of opinion nor something you can debate about, it's already happened.

Favourite Manga dat boi	Dragon Ball will NEVER surpass One Piece. One Piece has already completely surpassed Dragon Ball and won't be ending anytime soon. It probably still has another ten years to go, and by that point it will have probably at least doubled Dragon Ball. There's no chance in hell that Dragon Ball will ever catch up. There is also no way that Naruto or Bleach will catch up. We probably won't see a manga surpass One Piece for many, many years. The best one Favourite Manga They all suck	Yes it has. It is already the best-selling manga of all time. That chart shows ALL the sales as of early 2012. As it stands, One Piece will only further eclipse Dragon Ball in sales. And yeah, nothing will touch OP in sales for a long time. Dragon Ball won't ever sell like it did in its prime, Naruto is almost over and hasn't even touched Dragon Ball, and Bleach's Tite Kubo dug himself into an infinitely deep hole. The rest are either over or simply don't sell like One Piece does.

I should've figured! Ugh! So STUPID! Well the top few selling volumes of all time are One Piece volumes so it's not just down to more volumes. I think volume 62 or something like that anyway was one of them so it's not just volumes that are sold to people trying out the series (like if volume 1 was the highest selling). Unless you argue that DB is disadvantaged since it was released before the internet was widely available....however DBZ has been on TV outside Japan long after the internet and internet shopping became quite common.

You ask a grandma on the side of the road and I bet she could tell you what One Piece is - that's how prevalent and popular it is over there. I may be exaggerating since I'm not Japanese nor have I been to Japan, but this is what my research and knowledge yields as truth.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	I wonder how it would go if both series started now? With the current computer technology to draw manga and current technology for making anime/games. I think in that scenario it would probably be extremely even up until DB ended. Most of the fanbase for both OP and DB is just the "YEAH, FIGHTING" kind of fans, DB being a lot more action centric would give it a huge boost in sales. I mean purely in sales not in the actual quality of the story, not many fans see past "FIGHTING!!" DB being so over the top in comparison would probably actually have it ahead slightly, planets exploding, Super Saiyan and stuff.
