I forgot Brad Richards too somehow, he is a really good player, just coming off a bad year, like most of the rangers.

There's no one good on the Rags..

Or the devils..

We went from the best to the worst in 3 years.. Best rivalry..worst teams.. :(
I can only laugh at you saying there is no players on the rangers.

Ryan Callahan, Rick Nash, Dan Girardi, Derek Stepan, Marc Staal and Del Zotto are all amazing players. they have been battling through injuries and are adjusting to a new coach. Rangers play in a a top heavy division with the penguins. the rangers will make the top 4 in that division.
Uhh, no the rangers won't. Just like the Devils won't. The metropolitan divison is stacked, but this year only one of the Big 4 from the old Atlantic is doing good.

Flyers, devils, and rags suck.

We have no good players right now. Need proof? Look at the standings.

Rangers and Flyers currently have the worst GF/GA Differential. Torts was a better head coach. Alain Vigneault is HORRIBLE. My best friend is a Canucks fan, so he knows all about the cancer coach

There's no passion or drive on the rangers.

The Devils are completely neutered(Clarkson, Parise, Kovy all gone)

And the flyers...well.. I don't even know where to start with the poor Broadstreet bullies.

P.S. Don't try and mock me, I know probably as much about hockey as Canadians do. You have no good players on your team if none of your players are producing. Bad play = bad players.

Im not a rangers fan first off. and secondly you cant base the rest of the season off of what has happened so far. FAR too early, still loads of games to be played. look at how Washington got into the playoffs last year.

also metro is NOT stacked one bit. in fact I would say it is the weakest of the four divisions.

the only real lock to make the playoffs is the pens, after that the islanders. after that you have 6 teams battling for the last spots and wildcard.

If the rangers bare down and play the defensive minded game that got them into the conference finals 2 years ago they will make it out of the metro. will it be a wildcard spot. maybe do I think they have a better shot than philly, Carolina, Washington and new jersey. absolutely.

They wont, because the gritty defense was Tort's style, and Vigneault doesn't understand waht defense is.

vigneault wont cauch the same way he did in Couver, he has different types of players, it will just take some time for both parties to get used to it.

I don't know wtvr, but I trust you. I mean I don't think we have much of a defense if we are losing games 9-2 and 4-1 in the first game I watched since 2000. I've never, as a Rangers' fan and an old NHL fan, seen that in my life. The only time I've seen that happen was in like all-star games where nobody cared.

I trust you though. I've also found a new player to root for because his name is cool. Go Del Zotto aka Zorro! He will be my Brian Leech for this decade. I have so much catching up to do.

9-2 games usually dont happen because teams used to play the trap when they got a lead. not most teams just play a strong cycle game and keep the pressure in the offensive zone, wich lead to a rookie scoring 3 goals on the Rangers piss poor backup goalie Martin Biron. thats how the score came to 9-2. once Lundqvist gets his s*** together the rest of the team will follow.

What kind of game do the Rangers play now? Are they like a defensive minded team or they offensive minded? I'm assuming they are defensive because Lundqvist is a strong goal keeper who happens to be the captain.

I remember back in the day they used to play defensive minded. They were good at dunking the ball into the other team's zone and scoring off deflections because of Adam Graves.

Rangers just got a new head coach so im not really too sure about that yet.

Let me add this.

The rangers have yet to play a home game...7 road games to start the year. which seems pretty ridiculous lol

Is there like a certain day that games are played on? It feels like I can never catch the Rangers playing. I wish I knew what days they played on. I guess I should check on their site xD.

They play the Flyers. Are they any good ?

Flyers, rangers, and devils are all horrible.

I've said this 4000 times. Vingeault is horrible. It doesn't matter how he tries to coach, he's cancerous for a team. The Canucks lost the finals because he couldn't motivate his team and failed to make appropriate changes. He was fired for a reason.. Torts got the most out of the rangers he could. I expect Vancouver to make another playoff push this year

Vingeault is the Ranger's coach now ? What were the Canucks record when he was there?

The last guy that I remember coaching the Rangers was this guy:

lol, doesnt really matter if leafs are outshot or not i want the W
almost dont care how they get it really and shots dont nescairlly determine how much better the team does in the end its the score, hits shots, face-off wins are great but no the main thing
kuliman can be a scorer if carlyle wanted him to be kuli could net a bunch of goals, great forchecker and solid pk player, im iffy about clarkson dont know if he will pan out, hits and what not sure, points probably not

leafs seriously need to start getting better at facoffs, getting outshot is not too big of a concern
and the turnovers my god just wow

to add, even good players cant do much for the team if the coach doesnt fit and brings his style
like with teh rangers,

to add all those phaneuf haters can suck it, believed in him since day one not just this year where he has played exceptionally well
also reimers and phaneufs GF are hawt in reimers case i think wife

Torts! (John Tortolla) He's now coaching the Canucks.

And the Canucks would do amazing in the regular season and then choke incredibly hard in the playoffs.
