Because of him saying that SSJ Goku is what truly killed his brother but this is after seeing Kaioken x20. The difference between Base Goku and SSJ is huge for him to even compare those two having the possibility to have beaten Freeza is quite a stretch with no mention of the kaioken in between that. I think him saying that Base Goku might have beaten Freeza was based on suppressed Freeza because Cooler was also in his 3rd suppressed form. Therefore I have 1st form Cooler the same as 1st form Freeza.

That's just doing a hyper over analysis of a couple of dialogs that weren't even supposed to be taken like that. Frieza stomps like crazy here.

FireFox Favourite Manga Sailor Moon	I have Cooler suppressed down in his 4th form like Frieza initially was so when Cooler sees Goku he thinks an inital Frieza slipped up and got killed. Anyway Cooler should have this as I have 100% Cooler= 85% Frieza.

There is a gap between Freeza and 4th Form Cooler in Freeza's advantage, but its never specified as being a large gap. Though in such a case it could go either way I suppose.

However since Cooler is not noted to have surpassed Freeza until his transformation in the Japanese version, we have to infer that 4th Form Freeza>4th Form Cooler.
