Since Eli has been with the giants, they havent gone a season without winning four in a row. Unfortunately, I think it was a little too late.

Regardless, I am happy for the win. The only thing that bums is that it was against my bfs team xd. He wont be happy with Josh Freeman's performance

I was proud of Willis today because he fought hard. Eli did what he said he was going to do and avoided throwing interceptions even with Jared Allen in his far.
The Giants have to much talent(except at the RB position)to not win at least 3-4 games in a row, 9 games left and already one down. <_<

Pookie are you just not trying to be negative so you won't jinx them? :=]:

I'm not trying to be overly confident because as a fan, Im not going to excite myself when I know the Giants have a steep mountain to climb. I'm happy for this week, but I saw how they played. They still aren't sharp, and the game was sloppy. Nicks had some uncanny drops today.

I'm taking it a week at a time.

I do hope Cox and Wilson get some more carries because I see something there. I also really liked Willis effort. We need players like him to play hard.

On an interesting note, even if the Giants had gone 0-16, we still wouldn't get the first pick because the jaguars are that bad. I do hope that the jaguars can eventually get better.

Cox was playing pretty well in the 1st Q, i dunno the Giants always find themselves battling for a wild card spot and winning a SB in the most uncanny way lol

MNF Worst game I've seen all season. Pathetic, and I have no pity for any fans of either team that was just sad. Both teams are so very desperate when they both signed players and started them in a new system within 10 days. (i.e. Peyton Hillis and Josh Freeman)

I'm sure Josh Freeman will get better and it will click in time but I honestly think Ponder is the guy and the team should have stuck with him. Matt Cassel is no punk QB either in the sense that he's not a rookie, he's good and could be just as good an option. It was sad all the way around, even Adrian Peterson the highlight reel king and anointed RB MODGOD basically could have sat and let Toby Gerhart get a few reps

On the other side, Special teams and running game. Even with Wilson and Jacobs out, they rely on an out of the job Peyton Hillis and not even consider starting the Rookie that they already have/ I'm all for signing Hillis and getting some depth, Hillis did fine, but the principle of just picking up people and not developing them is why this game was such crap. Should've put more effort into Cox rather than putting everything in Hillis who already had a rough idea of the system and how everything works. Giants need to realize that Offense and Defense aren't the only parts of a game. Special teams has been just as horrendous and they're like on the way to have the most touchdowns scored against them in a season ever if they don't fix the technique

Colts/Broncos, Ravens/Steelers, Jets/Patriots, Bengals/Lions were good games this Sunday

NFL is stupid. They put great games such as Bal/Pit at 4 on sunday, PUT THE GOOD GAMES on MONDAY, SUNDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY. No one wants to see Seattle and Arizona on thursday.

@Rebel- I don't think the fans want pity to be honest. This is how the season has been going for the Giants all year. There is nothing going right for them and last night was an indication of hwo bad their season has been because of how sloppy the game was.

I do agree with you that they should have given Cox more carries because he was doing very well. At the same time, Cox had fumbled it at the start of the game, as a Rookie, so perhaps Tom Coughlin got some bad vibes from him like what had happened with Wilson against the Cowboys. Hillis was playing hard. Tom Coughlin probably wanted to get Cox and teach him how to hold the football properly like he did to Wilson/Tiki Barber. It was either that or he wanted to play conservatively to win the game.

Hillis played hard, and I liked that about him. He isn't the most talented, but when players see him working hard, that is a motivator.

As for Josh Freeman, I don't get it. I already stated my opinion about Ponder.

Next week the Giants play the Eagles. I hope we can get win number 2.

As for the Rams and Bears, I still feel so bad for them.

edit:

Never mind, the Giants play the Eagles next week. It's so awesome to come off a win, and then play a divisional rivalry game. >_<
