If he was toying around, then he was toying around with both of them. Up until he blasted gohan away that is. Kaioshin took the same hit gohan did and then some. Plus kaishin was buu's old enemy. If anything he would be going harder on him than on gohan. Gohan was near death from a simple ki blast, while kaioshin survived buu's explosion attack while being at ground zero. Even piccolo thought he was dead for sure.

Your example of trunks surviving super buu's punch is clearly gag. The entire rosat sequence was clearly gag. Kid buu on vegeta. Kid buu is a sadist and was prolonging vegeta's suffering. Kaioshin surviving buu's explosion attack is different. Kaioshin wasn't the target. Majin vegeta was. Kaioshin was just a casualty. No reason for this to not be a valid feat.
Hey, man, what I just say? Eh? Eh? I just tell ya the exact scene. Boo wasn't toying with Goham. He expressly wanted Gohan out of the way so he could play with Supreme Kai, so don't be twisting nothin', man. I ain't lyin' to you about some cartoon.

If Boob is smiling and jolly about messing with Supreme Kai's salad maker, but changes expressions and doesn't enjoy Goham being there, what that mean? My mom tellin' me it means he was playin' with one guy and not the other.

 Couple of things here...

Babidi wanted Kaioshin dead, not because he thought he was a threat, but because he killed his father. Also Boo, even in Fat form, never fully obeyed his master(s).

He didn't want gohan around after gohan caught him off guard with that kick to the face. Tell me, why wouldn't he want gohan around before that? More fun for him if he's getting all the good licks on everyone.
