For right now, my favorite is Eli Manning. However, my favorite football player of all time...please do not laugh. I really think this guy had a ridiculous, canon arm, had a great story, and is a dying breed of quarterback that you just don't see anymore. He retired after a bad showing with the Colts. I loved when he was on the Giants and him throwing to Amani Toomer. There were too many good memories. I have to say when he left I cried. I still followed him on Oakland Raiders and Titans. He made me so happy when he brought the Titans to the playoffs. If you don't know who he is, well this is who I am talking about.Spoiler: click to toggle

I am really shocked you have Tony Romo on that list. You have Emmitt Smith on there EWWWWWWWWWW. Haha, it's cool though. I know he was a great running back, but as a Giants fan, it brings back nightmares xD. It is just like having to listen to Aikman commentate for Giants' games. I wish Randy Moss go to win one superbowl. In my opinion, he deserved one. It was unfortunate he wasn't able to get at least one. |

Just noticed that 4 out of my 10 players were from the NFC East sas. But yeah I love Tony Romo haha. He reminds me so much of Brett Favre in his gunslinger mentality but without all the baggage that comes with having Favre. Plus, I'm one of Romo's biggest defenders. I'm sure you noticed that in the week 5 discussion haha. As for Emmitt, my love for him mostly comes from the rage it brings to Barry fans. Were the Giants good back when Emmitt was rolling with the 'Boys? |

Tony Romo has some big baggage. (Like last week, throws an INT but has amazing game) and the choke artist stuff. |

Baggage as in the bad attitude and drama Favre brought to the Packers. As for his week 5 performance, I'll just say this, cause it's not the place to debate it. When you put up 48 points for your offense, it's not your fault if you lose. Edited by Hurry My Curry, Oct 11 2013, 12:22 AM.

Yes, I knew many Emmitt Smith fans back in elementary. We used to argue about the Giants/Cowboys all the time. Though I make fun of Emmit and Aikman, I know they good players. At the same time, they were rivals and so I can only stomach them so much. If it wasn't for their terrible fans, I would respect them more. The Giants weren't good in the 90's which is why I often had to argue all the time with everyone. I'm not a spoiled fan. I've had to deal with a lot of ups and down. We had a superbowl victory in the 90's that I vaguely remember watching as a little girl, but that was about it. It wasn't until the 2000's that the Giants started to emerge and the Cowboys went on a decline. It was mainly because they had lost players like aikman and emmith smith. As for Romo, I only dislike him because he is a rival and again because of the fans. I know he is a good quarterback so it's cool. I'm the same way with Eli Manning. However, it's a lot more frustrating because I feel like he has earned his place, yet the criticism never ends. People tend to forget that the Giants were 4-12 before Eli Manning arrived.
In general, I don't think people hate on Tony Romo because he is bad. They hate on him because he is on the Cowboys. I don't know about you, but every day I always had to hear that expression "HOW ABOUT DEM COWBOYS!" It has nothing to do with his ability and more-so the team he is playing for. When teams win or are successful, their players will be hated on much more. I've seen plenty of other players choke like McNabb, yet he wasn't nearly as hated as Tony Romo or Eli Manning.
