I wasn't expecting great things in this game. However, the Giants have went back to the fundamentals of running the ball, and we are doing better which we should have all these weeks, but whatever what do I know. They were saying that the 2nd pick was Randal's fault for not running the right route. It is lack of communication and consistency that is lacking. I am just happy that we are running the ball more. It seems like Jacobs is on fire. I haven't seen him like this in a long time. I guess he wants to prove to everyone, including myself, that he still has it. He is doing a good job so far. I was even gasping when we ran on 3rd and 1. If we keep this up, maybe things can turn around. Edited by Pookie, Oct 11 2013, 01:33 AM.

Tough loss. Another stupid interception. Myers was wide open and Eli finds a way to throw it to high. Its just stupid at this point. At least I have a weekly pick in game win to show for it? Very happy... At least we played pretty well. Just stop with the damn turnovers. |

It's one of those seasons that nothing is going right. I'm just annoyed with some of the giants fans who are turning their back on Eli already. If tom Brady threw a pass like that, it wouldn't be his fault it'd be Myers or I mean Wes welker's. People have told me that Myers is terrible on here so Idk. I don't blame him BC Eli threw it too high. Eli Manning is having a bad season, but so are the giants as a team. Scott got injured at the end of a play, Jacobs had his leg wrapped, our defense got shredded in the first half, and other stupid, costly penalties. It's not just Eli it is the entire team. They are collectively playing horrid and that's BC it is an aging team. How many times did you see Cutler go down? Zero. Despite our loss, they gave good effort andit just showed what I said was right. When they stuck with the run, they almost won. We also had some good additions on the offensive Lin that's game who helped tremendously so I take that as a positive. Edited by Pookie, Oct 11 2013, 10:38 AM.

The commentators did say before the game that if the Giants won the turnover battle, they would win the game. Eli gave them the ball 3 times (thought one may or may not have been his fault). The Bears had 0 turnovers. Not a one. Good game though. I wondder who holds the record for most picks in a season, Eli's gotta be coming close at this point. 15 thru 5 games. |

It might be Culpepper, but I am not concerned about all picks this season with our bad team more-so than I am with his confidence going forward. In a way, all the haters got what they wanted. They wanted to break his spirits, and I think they have done that. All those years comparing him to Peyton in his rookie season, those other fans that called the giants/eli manning's 2 superbowl victories luck, constantly questioning his ability, criticizing his facial expressions/mannerisms (not sure what this has to do with football,) and always having a debate whether he was elite or not. There you go haters. I hope you're happy that the Giants have become an overly bad team and that you have finally broken Eli Manning's spirit. We;ll if Eli sucks, then that must make your team suck because he beat you in the NFC Championship. Wow didn't know the 49ers were so bad! I haven't given up on Eli yet and I do admit I was thinking about drafting a QB in the draft. But my defense: I thought Eli was 35 (lol, im stupid) and I thought he only had 2-3 years left on his contract. So being 37-38 and losing Eli wouldn't have been a bad thing. Plus 2 years learning from Eli would have helped the rookie. But 6 years left at least for Eli, so replacement=bad idea. But something to think about, Elis contract expies 2015 (?) so I don't see why they dont draft a guy like Bridgewater and let him stay behind (or any other rookie) behind Eli for 2 years (like rodgers) I think its a good idea. I love Eli, but if we can get a possible franchise or successor to Manning now, we have to take it. Down year, but I am going to say it. The Giants are a good team, yes, its Eli who has ruined it for the team. Once Eli gets his s*** together, we will be good again. Until then, 49ers fans, cool down. The Giants were getting away with murder for the past few seasons. The talent on their roster as a whole has been poor and they are finally getting exposed. Have to give Coughlin a lot of credit as a coach for the years they were successful. We all knew that as soon as that d-line was out of the picture, they would go downhill. I think they will be fine next season if they have a great off-season. |

So basically you admit that Eli Manning was able to carry a poor offensive team to the playoffs because you said that our team was poor as a whole? The Giants never had an amazing team, but he was able to carry the load, and they were able to make big plays when they needed to. This is something that a lot of real analysts have said about Eli in comparison to Peyton. Eli, who went to Old Miss whereas his brother went to an amazing school with great players. In comparison to his brother, who went to a team that carried Tim Tebow to the playoffs, always had great players around him. This just further proves and strengthens my argument. When Peyton went 3-13 or 6-10 with the colts, no one said a damn thing. They didn't jump down his throat. I'm tired of this garbage, double standard. Every single time Eli goes into a game they have to talk about his brother. The Giants were a 4-12 team when Eli Manning came into the picture so I don't want to read a damn thing more about these so called Giants' fans that want to give up on him already. We lost a quarterback in his prime because of that crap.

I love the bashing and the whole "Eli got lucky" talk from anyone. Talk to me when you guys have rings that came from "skill" rather than "luck" Ridiculous. Anyone who says that the Giants got lucky are just idiots in my eyes. You can't win a Super Bowl purely on luck. Also, I wish some of you would just admit your team isn't the GOAT and start talking about some flaws with your team. They get a win and you guys are like "OMG MY TEAM IS SO GOOD GUYS HOLY s***!" You don't draft a talent like Teddy Bridgewater and put him on the bench to learn. He's already ready to be a starter. |

No, thats not what I said at all. And @Master Gohan: I was talking about the past few seasons post the Super Bowls. And I'm a Tennessee Titans fan...it's been a rough decade. You won't hear any unwarranted homerism from me. I wasn't attacking the Giants or Eli either. You 2 are way too defensive when it comes to the Giants. I was just giving my opinion. Am I wrong? |
