I just find life so boring and other than that there's no reason to change anything no motivation at all. Frequently wish I was in a world like Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan just because it would be difficult, I would have to do things just to survive, it's too easy to take the easy option when you have a choice. It would be nice to have some uncontrollable challenge thrown in to life like that or a war maybe, zombie apocalypse etc. Regardless of how hard it would be to survive every victory no matter how small would make life seem worth it. Being able to sit here on a computer all day just doesn't cut it. Honestly wouldn't mind if some dudes kidnapped me and left me in a jungle somewhere at least it would be different dying wouldn't make life any less of a failure. "go out and do things then" just doesn't work I have absolutely no urge to get out there I wish my parents wouldn't understand anxiety and would force things on me, would view them as dicks but it would push me past those psychological barriers. Anything hard I absolutely have to do would be a welcome change. Bah, not sure if anyone is the same. |

I would love to do that since I'm great at shooting and can make everything a game in my head. But I'm short and my hands shake, even if I somehow found the motivation it wouldn't happen. If I was dropped on an island and put in a Battle Royale situation, well yeah! There's just nothing in this life that will lead to anything else on it's own and everything I choose to try fails, so being forced in to situations of survival would be stimulating. Right now everything is a choice of "Do it...or stay in bed" There's just no contest there. "Do it...or die" that's what I want from life, provided it's not chop my arm off or something. |

I understand wishing your life was drastically different. I remember when LOST was still on TV I'd constantly wish I could have that experience in my own life (even though technically it would be a nightmare and I'd probably die in the process lmao). Have you tried writing, Steve? Maybe that would be a good way for you to live those emotions and create your own fantasy world while not having to go the extra mile and wish to be kidnapped Writing can be an amazing platform to escape reality a bit, and it can also be a career path for you if you're good at it. Who knows!

@Buu- I was going to say that too. You had a great answer. If you're bored with life, that doesn't mean everyone else in this world is. The last thing I would want is a zombie apocalypse where millions of innocent people are killed. You need to search for a challenge instead of living in a fantasy world. There are millions of challenges out there. If you're behind a computer all day, there is no one to blame for that except yourself. If you want a challenge, go join the army or do something productive that keeps you from feeling like "my life/this world has no challenge." I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that are already challenged enough with what life has thrown at them. |

Yeah I get that it's just the problem is no part of me really wants to do anything, nothing seems interesting what so ever. But the basic instinct of survival is going to be present in everyone, would be great to experience something like that. I just can't think like other people, Put it like this every normal persons thought path is like a heart monitor hooked up to a healthy heart, the lines are always changing and it's always active, full of ups and downs. My thought stream is just like a constant flatline tone that never really changes. And then this sudden adversity would be like a defibrillator causing...just something. I'm not even bothered by it being purely negative change it's better than just essentially waiting to die as depressing as that sounds. |

I think it is because you constantly make excuses for everything in your life rather than confronting it. I've seen it several times in your posts around here. You will complain that something is bad in your life, someone will give you a suggestion, and then you will completely disregard it by giving an excuse. For instance, Buuberries told you that you should probably join the army or the military if you want to feel that "survival" type of rush that you keep talking about. This is what you said:
I'm not trying to be mean. I'm mainly making an observation. |

When I was a bit younger I used to wish the world would end while I was alive but now I think that would suck because a lot of people wouldn't be able to achieve things/do things that they're looking forwards to (just like whenever someone dies quite young). But the answer is no I only seek to improve my life for the time-being, and then just chill. Gonna be a lot of chilling. Maybe you should just get up and do it yourself if you want someone to "force" you as opposed to wanting someone to "help" you. Force yourself. Just look at yourself and be like "I'm sh**" and do your thing. Don't need to be left in the jungle. |
