Post RoSaT Trunks would stomp CG Trunks. His RoSaT gains were incredible.
I agree that he gained, but were they incredible? No. It would appear that small gains for the fused fighters result in huge gains for the fused being. Since nothing was mentioned about their power increasing, I think it is best to assume it did not. They did their training in Gotenks for the most part, not themselves.
The fusion material should get the same gains as the fusion being itself, proportionally speaking. So if gotenks increases his strength by 2x that means goten and trunks also increase their strength by 2x individually.

For example, say there are two guys both with PLs of 10. Their fusion will look like this

(10+10) times y=

Let's just pick any random multiplier, it doesn't matter what

(10+10) x 20=400

Now let's say their fusion increases in strength by 2x. So their fusion goes from 400 to 800. Since the multiplier is constant, we divide the new fusion PL by the multiplier to get the sum of the fusee's PL.

800÷20=40

Each fighter is half of the sum so

40÷2=20

(20+20) x 20=800

So when the fusion increased in strength by 2x the fusion material also increases in strength by 2x individually since we can see that each fighter went from 10 to 20 when their fusion went from 400 to 800.

So whatever gains you give gotenks in the rosat, you also have to give to trunks and goten, proportionally speaking.

You are assuming that there is a linear mathematical formula for fusion.
