Let's get it on. Week 5! Thursday night, the two most underrated or surprising team imo. Should be a good one. Two sunday night games look to be awesome. Rough for Houston having to deal with two NFC West teams b2b Monday Night, who would have thought we would be seeing a 2-2 Jets vs 1-3 Falcons team. |

I'll compare David Wilson to Tiki Barber because Tiki Barber had fumbling problems for years before Tom Coughlin came in and helped him out with it. Tiki Barber seemed to get off easier than David Wilson. As for Tom Coughlin putting David Wilson in the dog house, it was in week 1 where he got sat out. We can't keep putting our future running back in the dog house after one game. This is how great players go to waste. Bradshaw also had a fumbling problem, and we stuck with him.
I just posted an article with O'hara who is 3x pro bowler, an all pro, and a superbowl winning O-lineman. Are you going to disagree with his knowledge about the O-line? He has been saying it for weeks now about how weak the O-line look.
Who does the play calling? Aaron or his coordinator? From what I saw when Peyton played against the Giants, he basically stuck to the run regardless of how effective it was. He didn't care if it got negative yards or no yards. Eli Manning needs a running game to be successful because our O-line is terrible, and he isn't a mobile quarterback like Aaron. He needs to be in the pocket where he is effective. In the past, Eli always had a running game, therefore, it made our plays less predictable which they have become now. Gillbride does the play calling for Eli Manning, and I can honestly tell you that he calls bad plays in bad situations. On third and one against the Chiefs, he puts in Wilson instead of Jacobs. It makes absolutely no sense. Also, he doesn't change it up at all. At the end of the first half against the Chiefs, Eli Manning and the Giants were doing really well because they were doing the no huddle, quick count type of stuff. It seemed to work better for us at the time. If Gillbride saw that this was effective, why didn't he stick with it? Why didn't he try it again at the start of the 2nd half when he knew everything else wasn't working? At the end of the first half, our field goal kicker ended up missing from 38 yards, but the bottom line is Gillbride needs to evolve because the team isn't the same it has been or else he is getting fired.
I told you the answer. Jacobs will carry the ball most likely on goal line carries whereas David Wilson will likely carry it on first and 2nd down. This means that Wilson will probably get the brunt of the carries, but as far as points are concerned, you might not have a good week with him. It's risky for you though because Gillbride hasn't been sticking to the run so if you pick Wilson and Wilson doesn't get a good couple of carries or the Giants get negative plays, which has happened often, then you're basically screwed. The first two weeks David Wilson got negative points. He has been progressively getting better, but it can either be a BIG hit or a terrible miss. This is what David Wilson is capable of doing: Edited by Pookie, Oct 3 2013, 04:48 PM.

I can't argue for Barber or Bradshaw or Wilson, because truthfully, I don't know much about the Giants. All I'm saying is that you can't fumble the ball. The play calling may be bad, but at the same time, Wilson isn't running with confidence. He's running conservative so as not to cough up the ball. |

You're absolutely right about the fact that you can't fumble the ball. I'm not saying what Wilson did was right against the Cowboys and I certainly wasn't happy either. However, it is to be expected for a player that hasn't really been the starter for the Giants. He only became a starter towards the end of last season so I still consider him a rookie in a sense. Wilson is running with two arms around the ball which is an odd thing for running backs to get used to. I don't expect him to get it right away, but the last couple of games he has done a good job keeping it tucked away and fumble free. He also did a lot better against the Kansas City Chiefs with his positive runs that were 8 or 9 years each. Also, the browns and bills game should be interesting tonight.

Patriots did well in their first real test. If the beat the Bengals at Cincinnati that should be huge. Back to back wins against good teams on the road without any real offensive threats with the exception of Brady and Gronk if he plays. |

Mister Tuel just threw a pick six. I don't blame him though. He is new and was our in a tough spot. |

A big problem for the Giants is their linebackers. Has been a weakness for awhile. EDIT: Oh and would you look at that? Right when I post this, a rumor comes out that they're trading for Jon Beason. Edited by Noir, Oct 4 2013, 03:34 AM.

At this point, I'm more concerned with the Giants offense because they are too blame for our losses. Welp, looks like the browns are a pleasant surprise this year. I'm happy for browns fans. |

That was a great game. Question is, did Weeden just win his job back for next week or is Hoyer still the dude holding the reigns for Week 6? Gordon and Little are def great WR's. I mean if they had a better QB I can only imagine the effectiveness Bills defense and running game did well though. Alanso #50 is a beast imo. Lots of key young players on the Bills D that I think will more than establish themselves as a whole in the near future Edited by Rebel X, Oct 4 2013, 04:13 AM.

I don't think Weeden won his job back if Hoyer is able to play. I do, however, think it opened doors for Weeden to possibly go to other teams tat may need a quarterback. I also hope that EJ Manuel isn't hurt because he is such a positive light for Bills' fans everywhere. It always sucks to lose such a great player for an extended period of time. |

Very poor luck for Hoyer. I find it odd that Kiko Alonso wasn't flagged for unnecessary roughness. What is the point of sliding if you can still get hit? Week 1, when Kaep was clearly going out of bounds, Klay Matthews was flagged. Seemed like the same thing with Alonso to me, he was clearly giving himself up. |
