Posts: 10 Group: New Member Member #10,262 Joined: September 26, 2013	Hello, I'm known as Karrit/Karritto. The username originates from a yokai character I drew years ago. It resembled a rabbit, so a friend of mine came up with the name Karrit. I am an older Dragonball fan from the US. I have been a fan of the show since around 1998 (back during the Saban era). However, It wasn't until 2001, that I started connecting with other fans of the show. I started out on Kyle Hebert's forum and chat (now defunct) as Karrit. It was fun getting to know Kyle and meeting friends that shared common interests. Later, I joined Sonny Strait's forum in 2002, another place to discuss DBZ goodness. In 2003, I attended my first anime convention. Project A-kon. I remember taking the shuttle to the Hyatt DFW to pick up my badge, when I spotted Kyle outside the hotel. I recognized him immediately, but it took me ten minutes to work up the nerve to introduce myself because I was quite shy back then. No sooner had I told Kyle that I was Karrit, I was greeted with a hug. Several months later, Sonny's former webperson had to step down, which left him in a bit of a pickle. Having self-taught myself HTML, I offered to help out. I must be doing a good job, because I'm still with Sonny. Anyway, I returned to A-kon the following year. I remember cosplaying as Lupin III and talking to someone when this other person came up and said, "I voice Lupin". I shot up straight and took a good look at Sonny standing in front of me. I told him who I was. Later that night, I met Sonny and some friends at Uncle Julios for dinner. Good times. I mentioned before that I do martial arts. At the gym I go to, there is an unwritten rule that the gym picks your nickname. Again, DBZ's influence came into play. I wore a DBZ t-shirt just one time and Wes Sims, the owner started calling me Dragonballz. I thought the name was somewhat awkward at first, but it grew on me. It did feel pretty good hearing the gym guys shouting my nickname during my first amateur boxing match.

Of course I will get faster, but the problem is getting inside of someone that has reach. I am shorter than my sparring partner, so I need to turtle up as low as I can and keep coming forward like a tank. Once I am inside, I take advantage of power punches. I am strong for my size.

I don't look for fights and avoid them if possible. However, you should still know how to protect yourself.
