This was done by a friend of mine, and it thought it was pretty interesting.

@Colonel_Mustang This actually turned out pretty long. But it's the absolute best comprehensive analysis on Father's powers you'll ever find, so have fun reading it and absorbing knowledge.

My apologies in advance for typos. Wrote a lot of this quickly from pure memory.

So, getting a grasp on Father's powers while in Godhood Mode (dubbed this by Edward) isn't very hard at all. All you have to do is listen to what people are saying. Also, Father showcases much more power in the manga. Specifically Chapter 105 where he's described as "bigger than immortality."

1. Father's Sun. Is it real? Is it as powerful as the real Sun? The answer is a resounding yes. All you have to do to figure this out is just listen to what Hoenheim said.

Statement 1 (FMA Manga) ; (Hoenheim sees Father creating the sun): "Wha....you can't....that's a...!" "A sun....nuclear fusion."

The keywords here are NUCLEAR FUSION.

Nuclear Fusion is a process where two hydrogen atoms are forced to fuse to create a single helium atom. That helium atom has less mass than the two hydrogen atoms, therefore the excess mass is expelled as energy. (This is what causes the shine in a star)

In other words, this is how a star is created. Our Sun is, of course, a star.

I'd also like to add that we as humans can't do this yet. Fusion Reactors/Generations are estimated to be feasible....in 2030. That means that Father, in the 1940's, executed a form of nuclear physics which predated him by nearly over an entire CENTURY. (Assuming FMA Verse smartens up, technology wise.)

By Hoenheim's own admission, Father is capable of casually creating stars with a great deal of power behind them. This leads us into my next point.

2. Father's Durability

This is something that has gone over a lot of people's heads, and it boggles my mind as to why. Father in his Godhood form has the highest durability I've possibly ever seen.

What does it take to figure this out?

Two Statements.

Statement 1 ; FMA Manga: (Father creates Sun) "I wanted to avoid DESTROYING this place, but I can always reconstruct it later."

Statement 2 ; FMA: B Japanese Subs: (Father creates Sun) "Shall I unleash its flames upon you, Hoenheim?"

You get what he's saying, right? If he unleashes that Sun, it would destroy absolutely everything around him. Now, you may ask, what does that have to do with Father's durability?

Well, it's simple. We know Father can't use that shield of his while he's ATTACKING.

Therefore, what? Father was planning on unleashing the star and taking the full force of the energy!

And he undoubtedly would've survived.

Don't believe me?

Here's a statement.

Statement 3 ; FMA Manga: (After Umbral Circle steals most of Father's power. Father is still holding onto the Sun at this point in his hand.) "Releasing this in my CURRENT STATE would be a RISKY GAMBIT."

And there you have it. Why would Father be worried about releasing the Sun if it wouldn't have effected him? It was unquestionably going to effect him in a harmful manner, but his durability in that form is as such that he would've survived it anyways.

That already solidifies his insane durability, I hope.

3. Father's Actual Powers

These two specific powers are never touched upon in the anime but are very indicative of what Father is capable of.

Example 1. Father steps on the ground. The ground begins to turn into bubbling acid and break right under Edward's feet.

Example 2. Father summons a gigantic tornado in his hand that turns into mass energy and strikes Hoenheim.

Statement 1 (FMA Manga) ; (Hoenheim is freaked out) "Do you have control over the weather as well?!"

Now, we're almost done....almost.

4. Father's "Shield."

A lot of people like to refer to this thing as a shield, but it clearly is not. At least, not in the conventional sense.

It's what, I like to call "an re-directive energy barrier." Why? Simple. Edward launched an attack at Father and his attack was absorbed into the barrier, and thrown right back at Edward at a more powerful speed and mass.

It's also very clear that it is positioned all around Father without him even needing to pay attention. Izumi Curtis tried to crush a pillar along with gigantic gears on Father and while he was looking forward, the shield protected his back. The same holds certain when Greed sneak attacks Father with a gigantic girder and Father isn't even paying attention to his behind and the shield still protects him.

Now, how durable is this shield? I would say that absolutely nothing could break it, if Father keeps fueling power behind it. Funny thing is, if someone launched an energy attack at it, it'd just be redirected at them in a more powerful way.

Also worth noting that Father can manipulate liquids that come in touch with him, as he does this to attack Edward with the weird acid stew that once killed Greed.

And finally, the last point and why no one in Z would be able to beat Godhood Father in a fight...

5. Soul Extraction.

All Father has to do is lift his hand, and he can turn you into a Philosopher's Stone by extracting your soul from your body. He did this to Briggs soldiers and to Izumi and the gang too.

And what's more? His shield is activated when he does this.

All these abilities Father showcased would naturally be gigantically amplified by his Godhood, and had he not lost it, everyone would've been absolutely f***ing slaughtered.

I got all this information from FMA Chapters 105 and 106, so if you're unsure on my methods or just want to read it for yourself, that's where you'll find it.

Now the second part of the analysis.

GridZero

@Colonel_Mustang Whoops, I never explained to you why Godhood Father should be a casual planet buster. (Sorry in advance for typos)

For this, we have to go back to my favorite bomber, Kimblee. After he's let out of prison, he has a conversation with Envy in a car. This is where we draw a general understanding of the destructive capabilities of souls bound to Philosopher's Stones.

Statement 1 ; (Envy talking to Kimblee about Marcoh): "If you do catch Marcoh, as warning in case he runs away again, pick a city and ERASE IT FROM THE MAP."

Statement 2 ; (Kimblee takes out his old stone, but Envy takes out a new one for him): "In order to destroy a city, will this do?"

Statement 3 ; (Kimblee asks Envy where this stone came from): "It's made out of people who were Marcoh's old research assistants!"

Statement 4 ; (Kimblee realizes what Envy means): "So it's his old friends! This is really too cruel!"

Now, how many people did Marcoh have as research assistants? Is this impossible to tell? Nope, not at all. All we have to do is go back to the Ishval chapters where Marcoh's research team is shown making the Philosopher's Stone that Kimblee would later use in the war.

You want to know how many people I count...?

5. f***ing. People.

So think about this.

5 People = A Philosopher's Stone that's capable of wiping a city from the map.

50 Million People = A Philosopher's Stone that's capable of.....?

(Father has over 50 Million, actually. I'm just rounding. It's probably 50,500,000 but yeah, you get the idea.)

Father should be mopping the floor with people if he's in his Godhood form. He's able to ignore the laws of physics and has a stone in him that should be powerful enough to casually wipe entire cities from the face of the Earth.

All my information is derived from FMA Chapters 63, and 59.

He's right. Father should be an insane powerhouse, he soloes HST but doesn't get thatttt far into DBZ.

I think he can still challenge the likes of saiyan saga Goku and Vegeta.

I sure think he can be fairly able to face them as well.

His defense is pretty good, and he he actually does have crazy destructive powers as post 2 indicates. And the mere fact that he can bend the rules of physics definitely counts for something.

Which is why he can easily solo HST.

Although DBZ also has many things that breaks physics and laws.

I don't quite buy the part about durability.

Why does he bother defending himself from Mustang if he can handle a star? That doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense for him to have defend against anyone in the FMA universe, and with that kind of durability, a bullet should just bounce off of him, but instead one actually managed to slow him down.

His destructive capacity doesn't seem that impressive either (barring star creation). His blasts can be blocked by Hohenheim and they're only shown to be capable of leveling central command.

I was expecting more of Father. I believe he is capable of delivering more destruction than defending himself. I like this hypothesis though, it makes sense to me in a way. With his ability to create a Sun in the palm of his hand and control it/deliver it against an opponent...that's something hug and saying he could be a god. But his defense, as pointed out is very questionable. Maybe it's because his plans to devour the souls were countered by Hohenheim?
