Week 4 discussion topics

Primetime has some good match ups sunday and monday night. I'm excited to see them.

I think Giants could get their first win but the only reason I think they wont is because the Chiefs Defense is WAY too good whilst the Giants Defense is just so lacking it's like they've forgotten was real effort was. At least that's what it looks like on tv. I think if Giants defense does well it'll allow the running game to start which will then open up the pass again which is what they need.

On the positive side, the Vikings did win. Hustla is happy about it except the decision to start Matt Cassel. I didn't watch the game so I'm unsure how he did.

I will still be rooting for the Giants and hope we can ruin some people's playoff chances. If you can't beat them, beat them. Regardless, I'm not expecting them to do anything special this season.

@Gohan- Yeah, getting good solid draft picks will be beneficial for us in the long run. The age of the Giants is showing especially in the offensive line and linebacker area.
Of course I wil be watching their games and rooting for them. I just want Green Bay to win if the Giants can't.

It ended a lot closer than I expected it to. For a while it looked like Minnesota would blow them away.

Good bye Gillbride you dumb a***. This just tells me that it is time for a new Offensive Coordinator. Every single time that Wilson ran the ball he got positive yards and NO we don't stick to the run. Gillbride doesn't learn at all with the plays he calls. He just keeps doing the same stuff over and over. He keeps putting Scott in who gets negative yards almost every run and now he fumbled. It is so freaking dumb.

We can't win games if we don't run the ball. We run 3rd and one with Wilson instead of Jacobs. Why didn't we put Jacobs for that run? It makes absolutely no sense. It's the reason we got him. We are such a predictable offense now it amazes me.

As for our defense today, they played extremely well and I don't blame them at all. They got some turnovers on an offense that doesnt turn the ball over.

With that said, we need a new offensive coordinator, younger offensive linemen, another running back, and younger line backers. :=]: I hope we can get some good people for the draft because I don't see us making the playoffs.
when is your guys bye week? Id think you guys would only need to replace your OC maybe get a couple wins before your bye week... and you know you guys are the Giants you always find ways to make it into the playoffs as wild cards.

Giants aren't short on talent thats for sure.

@Volt- Our offense is playing really bad. I think we may have a bye week in week 9 I'm not sure. Regardless, our schedule doesn't get any easier.

I think we need to have a bad season as bad as that sounds from me. Trust me, as a Giants fan, it's the last thing I want, but it is necessary. The offense has become too predictable and too stale. Similar to Cutler, I think Eli Manning needs a new Offensive Coordinator, and we need to make some staff changes to bring some freshness.

The offensive line is old and our running game is non existant. I blame it more on the offensive coordinator for not sticking to the run and not sticking with Wilson as they should be. Either way, I don't see us getting in the playoffs at this point in time.

We are on the same boat as Pittsburgh. We haven't had a high, top ten pick in 10 years since we got Eli Manning so it's no surprise to me that these things are happening.

Edit:

Also, we do have talent, but it's not clicking together because the play calling is terrible. The defense is not at fault for our losses. It is solely on the offense.

lol Matt Shaub just went full re**tard lol terbible play calling in the secon half, they pass three staright times when you have ben tate and Foster in your backfield... SMH
Completely agreed. Credit to seahawk D to making adjustments and keeping at it but Shaub looked like a deer caught in headlight. 4 sacks. and eve after the big penalty down the field they had a chance to gain some momentum and all he did was fall and fail. Texans Defense, Running and even the wr corps was in it to win it but Shaub could've avoided so many negatives in that game. It would've been an upset. I picked Seattle to win but I was hoping for Texans to prove me wrong because it was an exciting game.

Cleveland, another upset. This is no joke right now, 2 games in a row. They could easily have a chance to win this division. Obviously it's still early but by the looks of the other AFC North teams it's gonna be close. Browns are hot.

I should've picked Lions. They suprised everyone when it should not have been a surprise at all. Good game, lots of scoring.

...second week in a row Im not winning 250 dollars because of them over achieving.

I havnt had a chance to watch the earlier games today due to work, but caught the end of the seahawks game. looks like Wilson put the team on his back and just started running for first downs like he should

philly Denver game is close, I see this game being within 10 points and being really high scoring.

Who would have thought the Browns would get better after they had lost their star running back? :p

My goodness the Broncos are literally stomping on the Eagles right now. The score is 49-13. What the heck happened? I played on game of Fifa and I come back to see the score.

I'm feeling better about the Giants because we have some positive things to look forward to for the future.

I gotta quit giving either NY team the benefit of the doubt. They're both a*** and will play as such for the duration of the year. Though I forecast the Jets to do better than the Giants.

6-5 (0-3) so far. Pretty medicocre week. Should pick up the sunday nighter though. Hopefully the others go well.

The Giants team is much better than what the score shows, but yeah I can see why you're frustrated. :p Their offense sucks (b/c of Gilbride's offensive calls) so if I were you, since you're not a Giants fan, you should pick against them. I hope we at least do better than the Jets haha xD. :T_T:

The Broncos remind me of the 2007-2008 Patriots except with a better defense and run game. I'm not sure if anyone can beat them, but at the same time, Peyton Manning has a knack for not doing well in the playoffs so we will see how they do when they get there.
