The man who helped bring about the rise of the NES, and franchisees such as Pokemon, Zelda, and of course, Super Mario Bros. passed away yesterday of Pneumonia. He leaves behind the empire he help to build, a wife and 3 children, and the Seattle Mariners are now without an owner.

I heard. It's so sad, you know? The man gave most of us a childhood. It's like Akira Toriyama passing away.
