Really glad I found this board.; This place reminds me a lot of the old DBZ boards (in a good way).

I've been out of DBZ/anime/anything fandom due to college, life, etc. for a long time now, but after this new DBZ movie hit I felt like I had to see what people were saying about it (since it's the first real new DBZ content in 16 years now outside of that special). Anyway, the last board I posted at was the old planetnamek.com one (which has been gone for a good 12 years or so now, I think). I tried looking up some other ones I remembered but never posted at, but they were so heavily moderated that it just seemed like a waste. This place seems really free wheeling and fun, so I hope I can contribute something as a longtime fan of the series anyway.

I'm not THAT old (26), but I've been online ever since I got a Netlink modem to play Duke Nukem online on my Sega Saturn (so around 97, I think). For a long time planetnamek.com and a few other defunct sites (DB Blast, Ultimate DBZ Info site and Dr. Gero's Laboratory) were the only decent ways to get any info on the series, and only planetnamek.com had a forum. I"m pretty amazed at how far DBZ fandom has come, from back when you could only get those first two Saban seasons to now when you have the entire series available uncensored, it's just cool to see it's stronger than ever. Definitely WAY past the days of VHS fansubs, anyway. Also, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, this seems like a great place.
