Who are your favourite stand-up comedians?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I'm sure this has been done before, but I looked back a few pages and couldn't see anything. Sorry if I overlooked it.

I've been on a bit of a stand-up spree of late, so I thought I'd pose the question to you guys: who are your favourite comedians?

Here's a few of mine:

Michael McIntyre - I think Michael McIntyre is hilarious. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but he's just the kind of guy that touches on so many relatable topics that you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn't laugh at one of his routines.

Jim Jefferies - One of my favourite comedians. Very close to the edge, so if you don't like jokes about rap/e (wouldn't let me post with the whole word for some reason) and the word that rhymes with hunt, he's not for you, but I love him.

Ricky Gervais - Probably my favourite comedian of all time. I don't know what it is, I just love everything Ricky does. His stand-ups, his podcasts and audiobooks, everything Karl Pilkington related, Extras and the Office. I think he's definitely a massive influence on my own humour.

Carl Barron - The Australian Michael McIntyre. Read everything I said about Mr. McIntyre, only in an Australian accent.

Eddie Murphy - I think a lot of people don't realise he has stand-up shows, and in my opinion Raw and Delirious are up there in the conversation for "best routines ever". Do yourself a favour and check them out.

No

Michael Mcintyre for the same reason

I'd like to say Jimmy Carr because he touches up on controversial subjects and how quick-witted he is, but there's something I don't like about how unfluid he is going from one thing to the next without any flow. Idk

Yeah, I like Jimmy Carr on panel shows like 8 out of 10 cats, but I'm not really a fan of one-liners and that's pretty much all his stand up shows consist of.

Crazy Awesome Legend

Sean Locke. I'm going to see him in November at his show here.

Ross Noble. Saw him some months back

I've also see Michael Macintyre, Billy Connolly, Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr live as well. Frankie Boyle was the funniest out of all of them in my opinion.

Dave Chapelle hands down is the best at offensive jokes. Funniest man ever! His stories will have grandmothers trying to catch their breath.

I am guilty sorry everyone. RIP Emile Griffith. Jeremy Kyle is a prick. go make sumin of urself

1. Kevin Bridges. From Glasgow (nearly put Gasglow because of a radio show I used to listen to). Can be quite relateable since he just jokes about more everyday things, and he has good delivery. Easily my favourite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeyajsCZej8

2. Chris Rock. Only seen Bigger and Blacker but talked a lot of sense while being hilarious.

3. John Bishop. Some good gags and stand up and gotta love a scouser (scouser, not Liverpudlian).

4. Imran Yusuf. Relateable from what I've seen, and likes anime which is a plus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw860uA8IwU

6. John Richardson

5. Dave Chapelle

6. Russell Peters

7. Rhod Gilbert

8. Reginald D Hunter

Not really too sure about the order after the first 2 tbf. Katt Wiliams was alright but after he went off on one against Mexicans I haven't watched his stuff.

I'm just a piece of trash.. but there are things I learned. The hole in your heart is something other people can fill.
If you reject your friends' feelings and this world..
Just because something didn't go as you wished, no one will ever come to you.
And so that hole won't be filled either, if you just run away without doing anything people won't do anything for you either..
As long as you don't give up, you can still be saved

Jeff Dunham and Jack Whitehall both pi** me off. Dunham's a racist sh** (oh yes I make fun of everyone....except White folk) and Whitehall is a hipster imo to put it nicely. Whitehall isn't so bad I suppose though really.
