I was really annoyed last night with some of the so called "Giants" fans who left the game with like 10 minutes left. I hate when they do that. If you're at the game or watching it on TV, you watch it to the end. I don't like when some fans do that. Yeah, they cheer and are all happy when the team is winning, but at the first sight of trouble, they just run off and criticize the entire team. Im ranting because of the comments I read and what I saw yesterday. These are the same type of fans that forced out a good Kerry Collins before his prime was over. There is nothing wrong with the Giants talent wise. We just have coaches who don't want to put in the younger guys. Regardless, don't say you'really a fan of the team when you leave with a quarter left, and the team needs you to cheer them on. Edited by Pookie, Sep 16 2013, 03:14 PM.

I don't agree. I mean I respect those that stay all the way to the end of a game but I mean that's ridiculous to think people should have to stay. If the game is 42-7 I might stay for the experience but if I have a season pass and I go to the game like every home game then I'm not sticking around. I'm trying to beat the traffic home. It's not like they're going to make a huge come back. Unless the score is like 3 scores or less with 2 mins to go . Idk if I will bother sitting around for a 4th quarter td and loss. And even if the team you're cheering for wins then you'll e happy like a fan would be. |

If you are referring to what I said, I was just frustrated because I know that we have a good team, but Eli and company continue to do the dumbest things ever and it just makes me angry. (I saw that you posted that it was the coaching problems, but Eli has been making some really ill-advised throws. I think we will do better in the coming weeks. I really do think we would have beaten the Cowboys, we were just extremely unlucky. Coughlin has made Wilson use two hands which will make him fumble much less and I believe that Eli will be smarter with his throws and we should get back on track. Good thing we have the Panthers next week, a loss could mean big trouble.) I also hate when fans do the wave. So disrespectful! I remember when my Dad used to make us leave with maybe an inning or two to go during baseball games when we were down by a bit. It always made me so sad. I always stay for the experience at least. Like I watched the end of the Giants game this week, I always watch every game to the end anyway. Edited by Master Gohan, Sep 16 2013, 07:40 PM.

Have you ever been to a Giant's game? Or a New York Game in general(Yankees, Rangers) The traffic is ridiculous. Get out while you can. |

Nah, the people parking next to the stadium are kind of being dumb about it. If you park right next to the stadium you are really making a mistake. My dad and I did it once, never again. What you gotta do is park away from the stadium and walk 10 minutes. Better than being in traffic for an hour. Now I laugh at the people in traffic because they made that error. I have been to 2 Giants games and countless Yankees games. |

I will also disagree with you because I saw plenty of people leaving the stadium in the 4th quarter which to me is pointless. Don't bother going to a game if you don't have the time.
I was referring to a lot of comments I read. This is more-so the coaching staff than the players. If we have the talent and they are failing to produce, I blame it on Coughlin and the offensive coordinator. The Giants have been inconsistent because our play calling is no good. There is absolutely no reason we should have stopped running the ball especially when we are trying to develop a new running back.
I live in this area. I know what the traffic is all about. I live about 10 minutes from Metlife stadium and 15 minutes from NYC. I went a couple of times to the old Giants stadium to watch the metrostars, giants, etc. Of course, there was traffic, but hell if you pay for the tickets, you should stay to the end to root for your team. If you are going to a game, you should make sure you have enough time to tend to it. ![]() I used to pass it all the time. There is a picture I took of the old Giants stadium with my phone's camera.
The bottom line is if you don't have the time, watch it on t.v like I do. I always watch every game to the end even if they are being botched. I do the same with any team that I root for. I just couldn't help feel annoyed when I saw countless of empty seats in the fourth quarter. Edited by Pookie, Sep 16 2013, 11:04 PM.

My dad says he would rather watch the games at home (I watch the games with him every sunday, like a tradition) but I think that is just his wallet talking. It can cost you up to 300+ for my Dad and I to go to a game. If you are leaving at the beginning of the 4th quarter, why are you there. I have to agree with you. I would never leave a game early, only my Dad would do that to me. Its very easy to beat traffic anyway. I don't know if you have done this before, but there is a hilton or hotel like 5 minutes away from MetLife. Park there for like 20 bucks I believe and walk. Beats waiting an hour in traffic. It just sucks now going to games (money-wise) I would love to go with my entire family to a Giants game (would be so much fun) but only millionaires have 1000 to spend on a game for FOUR hours. Its just too much. I wish prices were lower. I have 6 people in my family and I am sure we would have to spend 800-1000 for food/parking/tickets. Its ridiculous. You think that's bad? Houston fans were leaving after Tennesse had pick six. They were down 8. |

Ha, thats the worst thing ever. I hate when fans leave like in the second quarter when their team is down by 21 or so. Ive seen it happen. (one game they even came back!) |
