buddy, seattle at home wasn't an upset. u cant pick a team when 2 great teams play and call it an upset lol.. seattle winning at home will never be an upset
San Francisco are really good, and the Seattle offense isn't as good as theirs. But Seattle pulled it off with an outstanding defensive performance. That's pretty much what it came down to.
SF vs Sea is no where close to an upset, lol.

Jac over Sea is an upset.

Yeah, it was pretty much an upset. Upsets aren't exactly decided by homefield, they're decided on how well they play. And Seattle really outplayed them on defense, and did really well to upset the runner-up from last year. Especially after their performance against Carolina last week. Job well done, I say.

Sf/Sea was in no way an upset.

Upset = clear winner, very slim chance the other team wins.

going into SF/sea would you say Seattle had no chance, especially at home? I expected SF to win, but that does not make it an upset. Not even close to an upset.

im done even arguing with you. kid seattle put up 42 points on the seahawks last year... Wilson is a very good quarterback. lynch ran very well.

tbh san fran winning in seattle would be more of an upset than seattle beating san fran in seattle

Well, upsets aren't judged by home field. With the way they played against Carolina, there was no telling how their defense would perform; even in a divisional game. Carolina's offense is a*** this year. Not a very good scale to judge by. That's like saying the lackluster New England defense is going to be dynamic this year because they held Buffalo to 286 total yds and New York to 10 pts.

I didn't expect San Francisco to end up with only 3 pts all night, but I was pleasantly surprised at how Seattle's defense played, especially in the rain (this is one factor in their skill at home since it rains practically all year round in Seattle :P ). We could go about the ifs all we want, but they played well 2 weeks in a row and once against a good team. It came down to defense. San Francisco was supposed to have a good defense too, and I thought there was a good chance theirs would perform better, but they didn't and I was hoping I was wrong for the sake of my pick for the game

The Darkness Returns

Seattle is undefeated at home iirc since Wilson started.

Playing a Century Links combined with one of the best Defenses in the league

49ers offense is gimped. Boldin was our only wideout threat (Who was also shut down easily by Sherman)

This was far from an upset. I was overly optimistic. The 49ers Defense held wilson off in the first half, but they got tired.

Seattle shouldnt lose at home.

Wilson was not benched, in fact he got a few carries. You saw Jacobs score the touchdown because Wilson is not the type of HB that will pound it in from the goal-line. Which is why Jacobs was in. They made a mistake by not sticking to the run due to effectiveness.

But you clearly didn't watch the game if you think david wilson is benched. Now Coughlin has him holding it with 2 hands, so its almost impossible to fumble.
He was not benched, but they didn't continue using him to make carries. They put in Scott for the 2nd half. We didn't stick to the run at all. I hate that if we aren't successful like 2 or 3 times, we completely give up on it. Peyton Manning/Broncos continued using the run even when in the first quarter it wasn't as effective. It eventually wore down the defense.

The Vikings have a similar system. I know David Wilson is not a Peterson, but they stick with the run which is what the Giants used to do. We won't go anywhere with this system.

Edit:

The bottom line is the Giants are a run team first. If we can't run the ball successfully, it most often turns into a long night.

Edit:

As for San Fran and Seattle, I don't know how anyone thought this was an underdog type of game. I thought the teams were pretty evenly match going into it. They were both playoff teams with great balance. Yeah, Seahawks had the home field advantage and of course it was super loud in there. When it's all said and done, a team still has to be able to perform.

As some of you may know, the Superbowl will be held here in the meadowlands, and it can get pretty cold. Therefore, teams have to be able to adjust to all circumstances.

Cinninnati wins and a decent week for me. I guess I can't complain TOO much this week (Looking at DET), I was literally 3 pts off between 15-1 (4-0) and 12-4 (2-2). Almost had as good of a week as last week. But it was exciting, nonetheless.

The closest I came to a perfect pick (PP) this week was the Miami - Indianapolis game (My guess: 27-21 / Actual: 24-20)

I think Coughlins needs to put David Wilson back in. He fumbled twice but so what. benching isn't going to raise his confidence. David Wilson is the best RB they have imo, huge playmaking ability.

I'm sorry, I was still talking about week 1, he was benched. Week 2 they were in comeback mode most of the night, nevertheless he needs more carries. That's my point.
