Rank the lieutenants (post timeskip, pre-Wandenreich invasion) Espada style. Sequel to the captain espada thread from way back. Division 1: Chojiro Sasakibe Division 2: Marechiyo Omaeda Division 3: Izuru Kira Division 4: Isane Kotetsu Division 5: Momo Hinamori Division 6: Renji Abarai Division 7: Tetsuzaemon Iba Division 8: Nanao Ise/Lisa Yadomaru Division 9: Shuhei Hisagi/Mashiro Kuna Division 10: Rangiku Matsumoto Division 11: Ikkaku Madarame/Yumichika Ayasegawa - We don't know enough about Yachiru, so consider Ikkaku their lieutenant. Why would you rank her any higher? She hasn't really shown anything better than those above her, nor does she have the hype some others have either. I think Renji should be higher than that. |

Momo has been shown to be skilled in a variety of techniques and is able to apply them in battle. Her knowledge of kido alone should make her superior to useless Omaeda. She should be in the middle group (using FN's post). Plus, she was also able to fight Tres Bestias alongside Rangiku and was stated to be good at Kido. Moved Renji up; I stopped discriminating against his Bankai being, so far, little more than raw power and a reishi cannon. Slid Rukia up one, although, I really don't care...? |

How is Renji below Ikkaku? Ikkaku's Bankai is all messed up weak now according to Mayuri, Ikkaku was shown to inferior to Renji during the soul society arc and Ikkaku had a harder time against the full bringers than Renji did. You still have Hinamori too low. Her zanpakuto fireballs are as strong as a Cero from Halibel's fracciones and Kubo himself called her a kido expert. She is absolutely superior to fatass. |

I'd probably have this (not including old VC's because I don't want to) Chojiro (after he was retconned) Renji Yumchika/Ikkaku (the case for one being stronger than the other is tough to make out, kind of leaning towards Yumchika though) Hisagi Iba Rangiku Kira Rukia Hinamori Omaeda Nemu Isane The last three are probably interchangeable. |

Renji's Bankai sucks now as well. Ikkaku's opponent was better. Omaeda ~ Momo because it doesn't matter.  - did i do that? |

Renji has not used Bankai in this arc. Yes, it sucked from the beginning, but Ikkaku's was nothing special either. Conjecture. We don't know who was stronger. Renji was superior to Ikkaku in their first appearance. Prove that's changed. Renji said he trained really hard in the timeskip too, so I doubt that Ikkaku closed that gap. |

- What I meant was, that Renji's Bankai had been damaged by Byakuya, just as Ikkaku's had been damaged while fighting Liones; although, admittedly, I could knock Ikkaku down a bit more seeing as how Mayuri mentioned his Bankai only be a fraction of what it once was. - No, bruh, Lucky Punch >>> Muddy Shoes. - mangadoom bleach/206/11/ Renji: "B MAI CAPTN, IKKAKU! I'm too lazy for one  I also want others' input. This was supposed to be about you (and whoever), not me, but I can't resist a good argument. But, I see your point. Here I go. 0. Chojiro Sasakibe (fits perfectly with the retcon  )1. Mashiro Kuna - #1 in my eyes, seems to have the best feats 2. Renji Abarai 3. Lisa Yadomaru 4. Hiyori Sarugaki 5. Yumichika Ayasegawa - inferior to Ikkaku pre-bankai destruction, but his shikai is worlds better 6. Ikkaku Madarame 7. Shuhei Hisagi 8. Rangiku Matsumoto 9. Rukia Kuchiki 10. Tetsuzaemon Iba - We haven't really seen much from this guy, I don't think very highly of him. 11. Izuru Kira ~ Momo Hinamori 12. Fatass (I actually kind of like fatass, though. He's more competent than Soi Fon.) 13. Isane Kotetsu Unknowns Nemu Kurotsuchi Nanao Ise Isane/Tetsuzaemon could fit in here too Renji is a perfect candidate too and he was clearly shown to be superior to Ikkaku earlier in the story. Think about it, shikai Renji dealt a fatal blow to Ichigo (he survived because of the hollow mask), while Ikkaku barely slowed him down. Edited by IllogicalGlory, Sep 12 2013, 03:40 AM.

3th Seat: Ikkaku/Tetsuzaemon 4th Seat: Ikkaku/Tetsuzaemon 5th Seat: Yumichika 6th Seat: Renji Speaks volumes; although, Renji's Bankai is in better condition compared to Ikkaku's. mangadoom bleach/87/7/ i feel it's been established (some consider retconf or some reason) that Ikkaku fought battles mainly for sport; as in Ichigo; as in Edorad; as in Poww; Iba gave him the "MAI CAPTN'S BETTER, SO STOP TRYNA BADASS" speech. Ikkaku is good; Renji is bad. Rogue agrees. |

You make a point, but I do want to point out that Ikkaku said Ichigo should have killed him for losing. It sounds like he was taking that fight pretty seriously. | |
