I am guilty sorry everyone. RIP Emile Griffith. Jeremy Kyle is a prick. go make sumin of urself

What do you normally put in the comments or queries section of an online job application? I normally type out a short cover letter-type thing, but maybe that's not what it's for?
Example of a form-

“Making weed illegal is a little bit paranoid, don’t you think? It’s like saying God made a mistake, you know what I mean? It’s like, you’ve got the whole world and Earth and all its holy creations, right? And God is like, Hmm, lookit, my whole world in all its holy ways, and he’s like, Oh-my-me-oh-sh**, I left weed in here. Yeah right, I left weed in here. Oh, shouldn’t have smoked that joint on the third day.”

No

dunno i've never come across one like that. the ones i do have several fields for you to fill in telling you what they want to hear -- so almost like a segmented cover letter -- or they just tell you to email your CV/cover letter.

I would pretty much just copy across the 'Personal Statement' part of my CV, but modify it depending on the job I'm going for. But like you say, I'm not so sure that's right - admittedly, I haven't come across that, though.

The 'queries' part, though, sounds to me like the part of the interview where they ask you if you have any questions about the company or job requirements? Of course, I wouldn't want to say this is definitely the case; usual questions I ask at that point are just about the hours at that point (I recall asking about salary in a 2nd interview at one point, but I felt awful doing that!)

With regards to the 'comments' aspect ... I'd probably just use it as a chance to really sell yourself to the company even more - make them want you and all that.

Also: best of luck!
Oh, look. Another personal blog about writing. Whatever.
