Crazy Awesome Legend

Jean Claude Vanne Damme was KO'd by a man in a strip club.

Zito and Jean-Claude Van Damme were in a strip club together in 1998, when Van Damme said "Zito has no heart." Zito told the lady on Van Damme's lap to go sit somewhere else and then let loose a right jab and a left hook. Van Damme was left curled on the ground in the fetal position. Zito waited for him to get back up, but old friend Mickey Rourke intervened before anyone got killed.

I used to Box few months ago. Now I do some Push up and Sit ups , and I drink plenty of juice.

Fitness is something I do every day , its great to build up your muscles , but also keeps you fit , it boosts your moral.

Funny you should make this thread as I'm in the process of getting into it.

I think the closest place to me is A Tae Kwon Do studio in Redmond WA.

But to answer your question I never have, but really desire to.

I can't feel much of a differencr in my ability to fight.
my general opinion on martial arts is that you become a better fighter based whatever "rules" you're taught to fight with. if you're getting better at taekwando, then you'll get better at taekwando competitions, etc.

street fights don't have rules. if you're actually learning to defend yourself in a real fight, then knowing a martial art doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be able to pull off all the moves you've learned in a street fight... like taekwando and their fancy kicks.
Alot of this is true, but I do believe learning a Martial Art will help significantly against an untrained fighter.
However, when I said that I couldn't feel too much of a difference in my ability to fight, what I meant was that I felt that alot of what we were learning in class was kind of pointless and not helpful.
For instance, anyone who has done tkd knows how important patterns are, and they pretty much decide if you move up grade. They're meant to increase coordination, but they seem really pointless.

I don't think you should let that stop you start a martial art. Your teacher likely won't even let you have proper full contact sparring without full safety gear, and even that'll be after you're more experienced. So basically, they won't let you get hurt :p
I'm more worried about hurting someone else. Every time I do it plagues me for aaaaages.

But yeah, I have taken a few Taekwondo classes and I did enjoy the stretching exercises and stuff. Maybe I should give that another shot, as long as I don't have to fight anyone.

Oooh okay, ahahahaha.
In that case, who cares? You're not gonna get in any trouble, just dont start beating the s*** out of someone whos already on the floor haha.
Seriously though, did you practice any patterns in tkd?
