Do you imagine someone's voice saying the words? If so, who?

Me I imagine Vegeta saying it.

I can't really describe what the voice is when I'm reading in my head. It's kind of like my own voice I guess but not exactly the same.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I usually read in my own voice. I guess it's a little different when it's a book of fiction, more inflections and different voices for different characters.

Captain Oblivious

I usually read in my own voice too. Or at least I think I do. It's all distorted and echoey.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Yeah, it's in my voice. And I read it as if I was saying it out loud, if that makes any sense.

If it's written in 3rd person, then I usually end up reading it in my own voice ... or what I imagine the authors voice is like.

If it's written in 1st or 2nd person, then it's what I imagine the character sounds like, or if I know what the author's voice is like and imagine this more strongly than the character's voice, then it's theirs. Usually in the case of Bret Easton Ellis novels. (I tend to read his Tweets in his voice, too ...)

Non-fiction is in my own voice. News reports seem to happen with a weird pastiche of all the newsreaders I've ever heard speak in my life.

I've been trying to read without the use of subvocalization. It slows down your reading speed by a lot. Goddamn f***ing hard to get rid of it whilst maintaining comprehension

@topic my own but kind of more what OFG said

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I can't not hear the words in his voice(Malcolm McDowell)

And not just in his voice, the way he talks to, all that charisma.

I think it's the only reason I can read, it's too boring otherwise. That man can make anything sound interesting.

He's like the white equivalent to Morgan Freeman.

Unless it's a book/story that I've seen on TV/Cinema, I tend to read with my own voice. I do however imagine the story in my head as I read it, making it much more interesting. This is something I've always done, and makes non graphic novels much more interesting to read to me, plus the comics/manga I read then becomes a sort of motion comic as well.

Just me being strange again I think hah.

When I rad anything, I read in the voice of Morgan Freeman. That's a rule. Oh, and it makes it more interesting and fun.

When I read something like on here, I try to imagine what all of y'all's voices sound like. Like boy vs girl and how deep the guys' voices are. I've heard Neci's voice, so I kind of base it off of his, I guess. But if I know the person's voice, then I read it in their voice. And I realized that I kind of talk when I read something.. Is that normal.? I'm not vocalizing, or even opening my mouth. It's like I'm saying the words in my mouth.. ?

Yeah, on here, I hear voices coming from whomever's avatar, but a mix of what I think their real voice sounds like. I dunno, it's pretty weird, but I know a lot of you know what I'm talking about.
