It truly was a Shawshank redemption

It's hard to even comprehend the beginning of the Universe, because that means considering that before there was everything, there was nothing, and nothing is a hard thing to imagine. It's like Death, and trying to understand that one day our existence will just...end.

As for the Universe in general, I am a strong believer that we are not the only inhabitants of such an impossibly vast area. I just think it'll be the equivalent of ants on separate continents: so far apart that it's almost impossible for us to even come across one another. People always counter the existence of other life with "Well, if they do exist, why haven't they contacted us?" What's to say they even have that technology? Maybe they are at the stage we were a few thousand years ago. I'm not sure we'll make contact with other life any time soon, if at all, but I do believe that they must be somewhere out there.

I feel the universe is summerised in one word: Incomprehensible.

It's just so far beyond what we have the capacity to understand, like, we can understand some parts of it but not others. As a whole we have very little idea about how it all works.

Well I believe that the bing bang might have happened, but something else is that I'm certain that in the entire universe we are not the only inhabitants on it don't know why but I'm almost sure about that

I wonder what would actually change if we came into contact with beings from other planets. New technology perhaps if they're advanced enough, wars maybe. Nothing new to the human race. The important things in life (happiness, love etc) would largely still be the same.

I guess the major change that could happen would be extinction lol If the alien race in question had the capabilities and desire to wipe us out. But I really don't think we're anywhere close to an inter-galactic war. Or at least, if we are, then humans don't stand a chance.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

The universe doesn't have to have ever started, it's probably always been.

However with some crazy telescope what's theorized to be the aftermath of the big bang can be seen now, but it could be something else of course.

I think it's always been here but the big bang may have happened too, as in the universe was just an empty void and then suddenly the big bang happened.

This.

The Universe has been one of my greatest intrests for as long as I can remember, and I will be curious and learning about it until the day I die.
I definitely believe that there is other life out there also. One astronomer, I forget her name, had the best analogy:
"If you took a cup to the beach and filled the cup with sea water and there were no fish in it, would you conclude that there is no life in the ocean?"

I think the universe is cool. It's so huge and we haven't even learned everything about our OWN solar system.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I believe that we are clueless and in a revolutionary age in human history. We don't know much, so, we stretch our current knowledge of the universe out and make a lot of assumptions. Try not to think too hard about the mutual reality we share, it can scare or confuse you quite easily :p
