The Z section was more fun , more hungry members willing to learn about DBZ.

Nowadays it seems most of members are bored and became more inactive. There is less community between Z members.
You actually sound like "the voice of all people" there. Now you just need to unite us.

edit: btw for anyone reading this in like 1 year (or in like 15 years) his member title is "Tha voice of all People"

“Making weed illegal is a little bit paranoid, don’t you think? It’s like saying God made a mistake, you know what I mean? It’s like, you’ve got the whole world and Earth and all its holy creations, right? And God is like, Hmm, lookit, my whole world in all its holy ways, and he’s like, Oh-my-me-oh-sh**, I left weed in here. Yeah right, I left weed in here. Oh, shouldn’t have smoked that joint on the third day.”

It's barely changed because I've only been here for almost 10 months. But I think a good bunch of cool new people have joined since then.

I do wish the DBZ sections were more active though, which I bet they used to be before.

I seem to be getting older while everyone else is getting younger.

I've gained friends and lost some.

People tend to talk less about funny things and their personal lives nowadays.

The only thing I can think of (other than what everyone else said) is that I became a forum moderator. Quite a few of the older members aren't very active either, now that I think about it.

It's way less funny and a lot of the newer members aren't as nice and are more stupid.
That hurts. :'(

I joined 2 months ago, so nothing much but more posts.

Back in my day we had some of the best spammers.
They were legendary...now suspended.

Idk if it's just me but the forum isn't as fun as it used to be.

Edit: I could also view the club section back then lol

I miss a lot of the interesting topics that a lot of old members would make to try and unravel some interesting parts of the series with interesting theories, information from Herms' translations, and looking deep into the manga or the subs. Cool reasonable what if fights or situations and stuff like that. Stuff that can easily fit in the canon category if it was thought of by the creator himself.

Posts seems forced from some of the older members, tbh. I think some of them are still not over some of their Shinden friends being banned.

Well Frankie's gone, the spam section is a shell of what it used to be, and much more religion based topics.

A lot of cool people left, more trolls arrived.

Also more activity in certain sections. Organising things has become almost impossible now as well, seems whenever something starts people are interested for about 5 minutes then activity just drops with it. Which is a shame because the activities used to get a fair bit of attention.

Also over the time I've become mod we've been getting more and more trolls. And not the funny kind either, people who are just being dicks. I've had to suspend way more people recently than I used to.

A few things have changed, some good changes, some bad changes. I think for me personally the main change was being able to see quite clearly how some people live and breathe this forum to the point of becoming extremely toxic and negative about it. The fact that we even had people engaging in "forum wars" earlier this year is more than enough evidence that some people have gotten slightly obsessed with a place that was created for people to have fun at and help each other out, period. It shows that there's been people living this forum in ways that I consider to be unhealthy, because if you're invested to the point of thinking forum wars are going to solve anything or do anything good for your life, you're definitely -- and I mean DEFINITELY -- neglecting aspects of your real life, the real things you probably should be focusing on over petty, meaningless, f***ing pathetic wars.
And I say this to everybody who find themselves constantly annoyed and complaining about everything here, 24/7, like their life depended on those things. While I couldn't care less about some of you --particularly the more bitchy members who are always saying they're gonna leave and implying this place is the biggest pile of s*** they've seen in their lives yet continuing to spend their lives here -- I care deeply about the others who get caught up in that gray cloud and let that affect their forum experience.

And that makes the bridge for the second change I've been noticing, which is that I've found myself caring about people here in ways that I never cared before. Right now I can genuinely say that I love some (even a lot) of you like we were all siblings. For all that's bad about some of the community, there's also incredible people here who keep inspiring me every day to be the best me I can be and to really go places with my life. Thank you so much for that. I'll never be able to put into words how much you guys rock. It's amazing to me the amount of support you guys are willing to show when someone makes a thread opening up about something they're going through, or asking for advice. There's something very selfless about wanting the best for each other, and I can definitely tell a lot of us genuinely want that. And that's why DBZF is a community with members who've stayed active for nearly a decade, and with members who have continuously expressed their gratitude towards the awesome people in this community. Those are the people I will remember and keep in my heart even when I'm forced to focus on my life and career (which is happening very soon, just a heads up :) ), and can't be very active here. And those are the people who MAKE this place.

Sorry for the tl/dr post, didn't intend for it to be that way, but I guess it ended up underlining some of my main feelings about the changes in the community. The forum itself will stay active for years to come, some sections will go through phases of inactivity/lots of activity... that's something I've seen happening on and off for the 7 years I've been here, which is why that's secondary to me and I didn't really mention it in my post. The community is what I'll always see as THE priority and THE focus of my journey here. And for that, I sincerely thank all of you for all of your positive contributions.

Apparently, now I am considered an "older" member. Well, I'm not as active as I once was which really sucks; but this forum really has changed in my opinion. The spam section is a shadow of it's former glory. And anything interesting in the DBZ section is completely obsolete. But, I can't really say much I'm inactive. :/
