It's fact that Buu Saga Goku > CG Gohan but what about Buu Saga Vegeta? It's debated and all but I think Vegeta surpassed CG Gohan during the 7 year gap seeing that he made a lot of gains and what not and not to mention he wasn't drastically far behind from Goku like he was in the CG saga. IMO... CG Goku: 1 CG Gohan: 1.3 Buu Saga Vegeta: 4.6 Buu Saga Goku: 6.8 Who takes this? |

You've got some pretty steep increases there. Goku and Vegeta should barely be stronger than Gohan since Vegeta still used him as the measuring stick. Chapter: 458 (DBZ 264), P8.1-4 Context: as Goku and Vegeta are about to fight Goku: “I don’t wanna take any damage from you and have it become Majin Boo’s energy…So I’m gonna end this quickly, at maximum power.” Vegeta: “I’m looking forward to this…Show me the fruits of your training in the afterlife. *Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 2* Just as I’d expect. Your power is greater than Gohan’s was back then!” Not only this, but Piccolo has to consider if they are stronger than Gohan or not. Chapter: 465 (DBZ 271), P2.3 Context: as Vegeta fights Boo Piccolo: “He’s already surpassed Super Saiyan as well…This is tremendous power…Perhaps even greater than Gohan’s when he fought Cell…” CG Gohan: 100 BS Goku: 110 Pre Majin Vegeta: 95-105 Pre Majin Vegeta doesn't really have much going for him, other than being confident of winning the Budokai, which Gohan is present in. At that time, he didn't know Gohan got weaker either. IMO he should at least be on par with CG Gohan. |

That shows that their both stronger than SS2 Gohan. Theirs no indicator about the gaps between Goku/Vegeta and Gohan.
He should have been able to sense him upon seeing him. And we can't judge that based on people participating in the tourney. Piccolo signed up because he knew he could beat SS2 CG Gohan right?  It's hard to use the WT's as a measurment stick.It's up for anyone's guess seeing as their's no concrete evidence to support either. Edited by Yusuke, Aug 31 2013, 02:21 AM.

This is about Post - Majin Vegeta as well. This actually tells us that Pre Majin should be a little weaker than Gohan, unless you think he got a puny Majin boost. |

He did IMO. All the Majin boost did was bring him to Buu Saga GOku's level. The wording of it doesn't matter. |

Even after knowing that Gohan has been slacking off for seven years, Vegeta still question the gap between them. In short, even knowing that Gohan has gotten weaker, he still has to wonder if there may still be somewhat of a gap between them. If Vegeta has to wonder if there's still a gap between him and a weakened Gohan, I don't see how he's going to be coming up a clearly stronger Gohan. |

He didn't know Gohan got weaker I don't think, he just knew he quit training and got soft. I doubt he expected him to get weaker. Vegeta questions the gap because he is damn close to Gohan's CG power. Chapter: 455 (DBZ 261), P6.1-2 Context: as Dabra fights Gohan Goku: “Magic, huh? [Dabra]’s way stronger than I thought, ain’t he?” Vegeta: “Hmph…Even so, he’s not an opponent [he? we?] can’t win against. [Gohan]’s so pathetic…So much so that he was stronger as a brat…” Goku: “He really did slack off!” Vegeta only realized that Gohan was weaker when he battled Dabura. |

No, he mentioned it earlier. Chapter: 423 (DBZ 229), P4.1 Vegeta: “Your body’s gotten rusty. No matter how peaceful it may be, you should still train just in case.” Chapter: 426 (DBZ 232), P4.2-3 Vegeta: “At that time there was a large gap between our powers…But what about now? While you’ve been enjoying peace, I’ve continued to train.” |

Gotten rusty as in fighting skill, that has nothing to do with power. All he sensed ever was a suppressed Gohan, which won't tell anything about his full power. |

Knowing that Gohan has been slacking off for seven years, I have little doubt Vegeta would know he'd gotten weaker, just not at the point of what Gohan really was. But even if you didn't see it as that, the statement is clearly in question on Vegeta's placement with Gohan. Kid Gohan>~Vegeta, that's pretty much what it says. If he knew he was stronger, he'd have stated it as such especially if he knew that he had surpassed Gohan's level at the Cell Games. But unfortunately he doesn't, and has to wonder if there is still a gap of some sort between them. At the absolute most, he might rival Gohan, but the statements we're given and implication I believe shown Gohan with the advantage of some sort. |

He specifically says "body," which should indicate that he thinks Gohan has gotten weaker. He just didn't realize how much. Vegeta: 15 Kid Gohan: 17 Goku: 18 or so IMO. Edited by IllogicalGlory, Aug 31 2013, 02:50 AM.

But Vegeta's not mocking Gohan. He's outright stating that there used to be a significant gap between them, but now that he's continued to train and Gohan has been slacking off, he wonders just what kind of gap there is. He knows Gohan hasn't been training, Gohan literally can't be stronger than his Cell Games self at this point and if Vegeta knew he was stronger than Cell Games Gohan (Whose power he knows) he'd have stated it as such. Like: "There used to be a significant gap between us, but since you've been slacking off and I've continued to train, I've surpassed the level you were at against Cell." Instead of making this sort of vague, uncertain line. |

Aren't those exactly like the numbers in my op? Lol. Minus the Vegeta being more powerful part, I have reconsidered that thought. But still, Vegeta must be speculating that Gohan got weaker since he never sensed his full power. Brofist: Yeah I don't think there is any way Vegeta could be stronger than Kid Gohan now, I screwed up my first post a bit. But I think he is close, because I can't really see him projecting Gohan's power loss. Edited by SSJ, Aug 31 2013, 02:58 AM.
