Religious beliefs aside(mention it too if you want) do you feel ok with the fact that you will at one point have to die with no idea what will happen to you? I mean more than understanding that you will die eventually, being fine with it all ending completely and not really worrying about it. Mortality is a scary thing. Can you even imagine just nothing? Every now and then I just sit and think wow, in like 60 years if all goes well I will probably have to die and there's nothing to stop that. It's just so weak an existence, it seems long but it just isn't a year goes past in no time as you get older, and that's a good over 1% of your life gone unless you're really lucky. |

I've been told it will be like the time from before you were born. So you no longer exist. technically.

Not really, I don't think about it. Honestly, when I get to an old age, I don't think I will care that much. I am really curious to know what happens after death. Does heaven actually exist? Do we reincarnate? Do we just vanish? I am curious about this. |

I understand it. That's what makes me human. I have no choice but to accept it. In death, all are equal. And nothing that lives doesn't die. |

Well like what Neci said, Death is will catch up to us, naturally, in the distant future, none of us knows when. So yeah, we are just gonna live with it day-to-day and just accept "Death". |

Death itself doesn't concern me as much as what happens to the people around me who are still alive ... Without going too heavily into it, I've thought about my own death on numerous occasions, but it's not the thought of dying that has left me shaken. It's the thought of my family, and how they'd deal with it (oh, now I just sound egotistical), which I guess is based on how we've reacted when loved ones have died before. I'm not saying I made a real impact on anyone's life, just that I've applied what I've seen of their grief to a different situation. The most gut-wrenching part would be leaving my future kids and husband (hah. If THAT ever happens =/) behind. |

Not sure if i've ever said the opposite on here before, but if I have then im going to say the exact opposite. I'm scared s***less, I guess i'm afraid of the concept of nothing. it freaks me out to not feel or see or feel or hear anything. |

i used to freak the f out whenever I thought about dying, but now it doesn't really bother me. nobody knows what happens after death and it still worries me a bit sometimes but then after thinking about it for a while it doesn't. I figure there's nothing anyone can do about it so why bother worrying lol. just going to live as well as I can and when my time comes hopefully I won't have any regrets and face death with a smile |

I always worry that your brain stays active on an undetectable level so your body is just sitting there dead but you can still think as normal but everything is completely black. That would just be horrible. Due to that I want to be cremated, just in case. It's annoying how you have so much control over your life, you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it but no matter what you can't stop yourself dying, regardless of how good a person you were. I think the best situation would be that you get born again as yourself but on another planet, the universe is big enough...but that's just a hopeful dream... I'd imagine if you came back as an animal with your own consciousness we'd know by now since a dog or a cat would be able to convey that, so if you do get reincarnated it's not as yourself. Things that are so absolute are just intimidating. |

After living my life I'm sure passing on to the void will be a welcome embrace. Life's just too tiring for me to not accept death. |

I don't really give a f*** about my own death, except I do hope it's after I've had the chance to do everything I want. It's knowing that other people I know will die that gets to me. |

Yeah my mum turns 49 this year. I go on about how being 24 sucks s***, but then she's the one with a 24-year old son. I can still remember being 6 or something and saying to her, "Ma you're 29. You're old." ...I'm only five years away from that age. |

Yes your right I don't think we can actually die. It is a common fact that there is no such thing as non-existence because it simply doesn't make sense. I think born again makes the most sense we were born here so we know it happens. Also were not in control of anything really our environment controls our actions your tired, you sleep your hungry you eat. Death is no different. Our body is doing a million things right now just to keep us alive and were not even aware or in control. |
