Basically they turned it into a key item that can't be held. So if you turn it on, it gives experience to every pokemon in your team. And my memory may be off here, but it don't think it does the 50/50 split, I think it does 100/100 for every pokemon (again I could be wrong there). But personally I find it to be pretty cheap.

It makes the game easy as hell. You grind every Pokémon in your party at the same time. I cleared Y in one sitting with EXP Share on.

It's cool and all for post game when the real grind is on, but it makes your pokemon so terribly over-levelled. I remember being like 10 levels too high at the Elite 4 in Y, and it was no fun. I'm turning it off for this game, but at the same time I want to use it for individual pokemon. Now I have to use the old fashioned way of switching out every time and taking damage to do that.

I remember back in the day when the E4 was actually a challenge. Now you just walk all over them.

I've never found the elite 4 challenging. I did a Youtube Playthrough of Blue or Red where I beat them whilst being fairly under leveled.

GSC E4 was a pain in the a** for me back in the day. By the time I reached Lance, I was too weak to take on his haxed Dragonites.

Hoenn E4 was a cakewalk with the exception of Drake who was a freaking monster even if you were fairly overleveled.

I remember when a bunch of people shat their pants when they found out Cynthia had a level 66 Garchomp.

The Sinnoh E4 was challenging for me. But that could be because I only used my starter Pokémon - Empoleon.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I remember how awesome it was when you went back to the League in Gold/Silver and it was harder.
Exp share is pretty bulls*** you either have to train your whole team making it easy as breathing or have to train crappy Abra's by switching them out all over again...

I wish they'd add in difficulty settings already, I want to have to face the League at level 100 withh legendaries to have a good chance of winning it's far to easy and is every single time.

Cynthia is probably the only somewhat hard one as her time has great variety plus f***in' Spiritomb.

Go Ubisoft! With Far Cry 4 they made it so that if you download certain torrents it makes the screen blurry.
So tons of people have complained about it, revealing that they pirated the game

Just turn XP share off then?

i personally like it. grinding isint fun and delays the story so why wouldnt i turn on an item that lets the pokemon who are at a type advantage in a grass/water/fire pokemon disadvantage gain xp and not fall behind 5 lvls from my other pokemon

When it comes to Pokemon I have to say this about the Gens...

Gen I has my favorite pokemons because it's the first one.
Gen II has my favorite region of all the pokemon games.
Gen III doesn't hold any importance to me.
Gen IV is a guilty pleasure for some reason. I just enjoy playing through it even though it's kinda short.
Gen V is unknown to me, barely played it.
Gen VI is pretty good. I enjoyed playing through it and it had the most story of them all.

But then you have to train s***ty Pokémon in such an annoying way or make it too easy I like to spend at least 50 hours on each playthrough doing all the stuff and then I'm about done Exp. Share being like that cuts that down considerably and makes it freaking boring.

It should have 2 settings I think, only give exp to the battler and holder, the whole party and off.

I prefer to have my favourite Pokémon be overleveled so it can come out to wreck gym leaders and such having them all the same feels so robotic to me one reason I don't like competitive battling since you're usually restricted to 50 or 100.

That is exactly how I feel about all the Gen's :p I don't like most of the designs of the Gen III's they're all so...curvy, like because the technology advanced so much they went crazy with non pixelated curves for almost all the Pokémon. Plus the legendaries look weird.
Rayquaza is cool though, minus the lipstick.

Maybe it's because I didn't want to risk losing at all, but to my memory I think I just level up my Pokemon as much as I can stand (so normally 80-100) and then take on the E4. I used to brave it after I finished the last gym, but I lost a bunch sometimes so I got tired of that business.

Wait, your Pokémon are level 80 when you take on the E4? XD That's a lot of training yo. Mine are normally around level 50 - 60.
