Nah. Iwata shot that downa while back AFAIK.

I'll probably end up buying one when Zelda U is released.

if smash and Mario kart 8 were day one games or atleast a few weeks after the wii u came out to create a buzz the wii u would be doing fine, and that makes me sad.

I have like 6 friends waiting for just smash to come out to buy a wii u

Yeah but on the other hand, imagine if they'd brought it out in time for the wii-u release but because of that it was a broken unfinished mess. I'm happy to wait if it means the game will be polished.

I have a couple virtual console games to keep me busy in the mean time.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah I don't get why they didn't just release it at the same time as the other two consoles, with everyone complaining about the lack of games it would have done decently well until better games came out around the time the other two would be getting their better games.

I think people are just finally getting bored of the same recycled games now, hopefully Nintendo will change their ways and bring out some cool new things.

I hope this is not the case. I am alright with improved recycled games.

Exactly, I don't have any problem with them using the same formulas for their games. If it isn't broke don't fix it. Just add new things on top. Exactly what Nintendo does. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is a good example of this.

yah, that game is great too. kids these days are just into call of duty and games like that instead of the Mario and Nintendo games we grew up with.

Underage gaming brats ruined Call of Duty. They removed the violence because of them. Remember how brutal World at War was?

Well the problem is the value of recycled games, I have just as much fun playing Mario Kart 64 as I do playing Mario Kart 7...so why should I buy 8 and a whole console when 64 suits my needs?
I'm sure the problem is that others are in the same boat, by not improving the formula all they've really done is change the graphics, which don't really make something fun and enjoyable more fun.

World at War was awesome.
I hope another developer does some WW2 or WW1 era war games for new gen, I find futuristic stuff to be quite boring, it's cool in some ways but the atmosphere never matches a World War era game(done well) it's all so casual and generic.
At least with WW1 or 2 games they can't be "copying" other games because all the guns and whatnot are taken from history.

I quite like what Wolfenstein does but I'd rather a more serious game.

I'd be interested to see a ww1 game. I don't know exactly how it would work but it could be cool if done well. American or English Civil war could be cool as well/

They change the game mechanics every game too. Mario Kart 7 was way different from 64. They are both great games in their own right, but I can't deny that MK7 is technically better. This also goes for the Mario adventure series and Zelda.

For instance, your argument can be made for every racing game out there, prominently Need for Speed and Burnout. I still love both series. It also goes for most FPSs and RPGs.

Smash Bros, Mario Kart and the new Dynasty Warriors Zelda game should help its sales.

I think that would be awesome, having to navigate through the terrain and line up your shots wisely due to lack of aim and ammo. It would be fairly intense as a mission orientated semi-open world game. Like you get a big area but it's just for one mission and you choose what way to complete it until you move on to the scene of another battle.

The problem I have with Nintendo is they don't give me anything new, each installment in a series takes the same amount of time to finish.
So many years apart could they not at least make the experience last longer? There's online play and playing with friends in some but it doesn't take long before you've done everything a million times.

Pokémon is the worst for, like literally every one of them has taken me 50-60 hours to beat the Elite Four the first time so it just feels like I've completed the same game I did 3 years ago or whatever.

Can't see how Wolfenstein is a 20 hour game, took me maybe 10 hours to complete it on the hardest difficulty and I got like half of the collectibles without a guide.

Playing it on the easiest mode, mopping up the last few perks and getting the last collectibles should only take like 2 hours.

Good game though but far from perfect the AI is hilariously bad.
You can step out from cover to the point where a Nazi definitely sees you and they say "Huh what...?" or "Is that someone...?"

Like a meter or two away from them, duck back in to cover and they don't investigate or realize you were there...
Which helped a lot towards completing it

Seems like this game was just intended to be a cash cow before DOOM is released.
