Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I could never get the hang of the guns and parrying with them, to me it just seemed like a waste to attempt it and potentially get wrecked.

I only really used them for lols and the cannon for super lols

Beat Shadow of Yharnam on fourth try. I really feel like it shouldn't have taken me that many times, but whatever.

Edit: This is kind of funny, but I actually use the wooden shield. I probably use it more than my pistol.
That's actually considered a challenge run by some of the community :p

I never found the health regen rune to be even slightly useful, I'm a very aggressive player so the rally system got back most of my health, at most I'd backstep just far enough to use a blood vial and be straight back in with the offense and parrying.

I agree on the idea of separate sets of more expanded moves for weapon types, but they have type-specific movesets in the Dark Souls entries and it gets incredibly boring when almost every single weapon of each class feels exactly the same aside from one or two moves. Bloodborne does it best, they just need more weapons, seeing as each essentially gives you two weapons in one. With the very DIY look of the teaser they could get very creative with the trick weapons, but they definitely need more variety and balancing. A lot of the trick weapons in the base game fell way behind in how effective they were, only a very small handful didn't make the player feel at a blatant disadvantage.

Didn't play much yesterday. Today I decided to try and go back and fight Darkbeast Paarl. Wow, he was so easy that time. Was at a way higher level since I last beat him and it took me probably about a minute maybe 2. Went back to Rom that Spider and decided I'd not focus on those little spiders and just hit Rom. That ended up working pretty well considering I beat him the first time with that strategy. This new Unseen Village or whatever, sucks.

Ah, I think that might be the f***er that took me ages...or is there more than one lightning cloaked beast? I feel like there was. One of them took me ages because I found it hard to see what was going on and it didn't feel like there were many places to even hit it like pretty much just the legs...

Still on Monster Hunter World myself, I'm somewhat starting to get bored of it 120 hours in but a popular and badass looking monster is being added in an update soon so that should liven it up a bit.

I am needing something new though...(or he could play the many games he has on Steam)
Think I'll go for Metro 2033 and then Ni No Kuni II in a few months, perhaps.

Or maybe God of War if reviews hold up.

You get the joy of a ton of unexpected lasers and a pretty disappointing final gauntlet / boss fight, but it's a fair price to pay for what you're about to get in to.

Don't know if you've been to the Research Hall yet but there's 2 floors and some okay stuff in there. Bit of lore, mostly just a fun aesthetic. The real juice parts are accessed from there. You'll get Mensis if you just follow the game's direction but the frontier is also there, which people have conflicting views about, you just gotta find it.

Happy hunting :p

Yeah that's Darkbeast Paarl. I went through the same issues. Once I was a high enough level it didn't matter where I hit him.

No I don't think I've been there yet. Is that after I beat The One Reborn? Speaking of which I needed one more hit on him and he has some freaking one hit kill attack. I got frustrated and quit for a while. I'll probably pick it back up tonight or tomorrow.

Edit: All right, beat that dirtbag The One Reborn. After leveling up two more times he was pretty easy.

Yeah I believe you're taken to the research hall just after the One Reborn. I think at this point you can access both floors but if not there's an item you can find in the world somewhere. If you stand on the little alter at the entrance to the unseen village with the amygdala above you with that item in your inventory the amygdala will pick you up and appear to kill you, but transport you to the ground floor of the research hall which will also allow you acces to the frontier.

If you're familiar with the Souls games, this is also how you meet an old friend.

I suggest you see for yourself, I'm sure you've encountered him in DS3 by now :p

I beat them on my first try on my first playthrough. I had a harder time with them on NG+.

I just got the hang of him pretty fast.

Man Martyr was pretty challenging, ended up using all of my blood vials to beat him.

Do you have PS Plus on PS4? It's the free game this month.
