Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Can not get enough of Monster Hunter World.

Damn fun.

I STILL haven't been able to kill the Rathalos though, Beta ends on the 26th and will be busy with Christmas tomorrow >.>
Have killed everything but, dudes so strong.

Honestly had more fun with this than any Souls game, not quite as hard but more fun imo. Though right now it's apparently set to be easier...but then you also only get 20 minutes instead of 50 so the balance will be much different in the full release.
No qualms with killing the monsters anyway, they're all dicks and there's so many cute critters around they threaten, save the cute ones!

Anyone play Fortnite?
I see a lot of people playing it, what's it about?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I play it a fair bit, mostly with my brother (who plays it a lot). It's fun. 100 players get dropped onto a map and it's a fight to the death, last one alive wins. They have weapons of varying classes and types around the map. You can also build stuff too, which is pretty unique among these type of games. I like it.

What kind of 'stuff' can you build?

It's not that extensive. There are three types of materials you can gather: wood, brick, and steel (with wood being the weakest, steel being the toughest). You can build square blocks either horizontal or vertical, stairs, and a fourth option which is hard to explain (the default one is a pyramid-like thing, but you can edit it into different shapes). You can also edit all the building options to put in windows, doors etc.

Here's a video that shows some of the stuff you can do:

I suck at it. I've never gotten a solo win and the only two duo wins me and my brother have gotten I died with around 10-15 people left and he pulled out the win. He is pretty good, he wins a fair bit when he plays duos with his friend.

To be fair, I don't exactly suck. I'm alright, I just don't play it too much. I think I have maybe 50-60 hours gameplay across all modes.

Kinda looks like a more cartoony version of that one survival game called 'Rust'

I like the look of Fortnite I just can't be bothered with any multiplayer shooters that aren't Battlefield(except the new one)

Just saw Fallout New Vegas on Steam for £2, screw it!

Need to get around to actually using my PC for games. Now that we have a new couch that my mouse works better on maybe I can actually finish modded Fallout 3...

That's pretty impressive. I've only ever won one squad game. I find that it's easier to win on solo.

Also got Shadow of War: Gold Edition for Christmas. As far as the story goes I'd say it's probably about the same as Shadow of Mordor (as in the same level of goodness). Difficulty feels the same if not easier, you can make it even easier if you really need to or harder; which is something I don't think you could do in Shadow of Mordor. Game mechanics are definitely better in this game, including skill set up and character armor, weapons, etc. Overall so far, I'd say I like it more than the first game. The market feature is pretty cool and is like most games where you have two different types of currency. You have silver which you easily get throughout the game and you can buy like two different types of chests and then there's gold which costs real money and there are several different types of chests to buy. I'm not going to be doing that, but I got some free gold chests since I have the Gold Edition. The game is more than manageable without any chests though. You also need the silver for other things like unlocking gems to add special effects to your equipment and then to unlock additional perks for your followers when you raid a fortress. Pretty good game though, better than the first one I'd say.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I hate what they did with the orcs in that, the gameplay and such looks fine but they kinda ruined like one of the main appeals, the Nemesis System.

It's dumb how you can get orcs...in boxes, no battle or build up you just win them like single use items. Not to mention your actual Nemesis can just be someone you've never even fought.
Sorta ruins the whole characterization of them, the idea of fighting one particular orc several times and them getting stronger as they keep beating you, making their silly cocky remarks when they meet you again was great.

It's still there but winning them in boxes is so much less personal an affair.

Back on modded Fallout 3, back to getting annoyed when it crashes for no reason. Decided to stick with keyboard and mouse for once, can't f***ing stand it but I'll get used to it I guess.
Walking the world in a fairly harsh survival mode with a bunch of new and dangerous critters is a very nice switch up to the game I've put thousands of hours in to.
Night Ghoul swarms are rather hellish.

After well over 100 hours on a game, I'm finally getting the hang of it. Don't you just love games like that?

*sigh*

The joy of Bethesda games.

So while I'm having fun in Fallout 3 and my mods are all working fine, everything is fairly stable.
Fun few hours.
Until my first death upon replaying it.

Crashes.

Every God damn time, it just doesn't re-load my last save at all and I can't alt+tab out so have to sign out or restart my computer <_< <_< <_< <_<

Hope I can find a fix, I have New Vegas now of course but FO3 is easily my favourite.
I still find it stupid how you can be sold a game that doesn't even work unless you do a massive amount of tinkering.

EDIT I think it was a corrupted save...thankfully I only lost like an hours worth of play time...still annoying though.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Started playing Football Manager 2012 recently, as sort of a trial for whether to pony up the money for 2018. I'm playing as Plymouth; they start in League Two and it's during their financial downfall. We actually have a bank balance of a million (I organised a friendly against Arsenal, which we actually won, and that boosted the bank balance a little), but I just had the dreaded 'loan repayments begin at the end of this month' message and I think we lostealmost £200,000 a month.

Not doing too badly though. Decent preseason, with the aforementioned victory over Arsenal, albeit a weaker eleven (still way better than anything I can field). Unbeaten in four league games (2 wins and 2 draws), including a fun 3-3 draw against top of the league Crawley, coming back from 3-1 down in the last 10 minutes. We beat Colcester (I think, maybe Chesterfield) in the first round of the League Cup, who are a division above, and then lost 2-1 to Cardiff (although it wasn't as close as the scoreline suggests). Both were home ties which added a little more to our balance.

But yeah, enjoying it so far (we'll see whether the same can be said if we start losing). My aim this season (and possibly next) is just to finish in mid-to-upper mid-table, hope that one or two of my many signings get good enough to sell on for a nice fee (we have a few decent players for the level we're in) and just keep steadying the bank balance while remaining competitive. Maybe a few decent cup runs. Promotion would be a great help, but we have a pretty average side at the moment.

The final main storyline quest for Shadow of War was absolutely insane, it was so awesome. Shadow of War is definitely much better than Shadow of Mordor and I think that's saying a lot.
