Ah Bloodborune. I remember spending many hours on one boss.

I think it was the blood starved beast.

Ah. I beat that one on the first try, but I'm having a lot of trouble right now with Vicar Amelia. She sucks. The epitome of the bosses I hate--big, attacks constantly, and an insanely high defense.

Well, played my first attempt at Fallout 1.

RNG did not like me, I think I started out with like. All crippled limbs, eye damage, poisoned, and irradiated. I died a swift death in the wastelands to some giant scorpions.
Yeah it's pretty brutal to begin with.

But it gets easier as you go on and get more powerful, by the time you get Power Armour you're an overpowered badass unless you're fighting mutants.

The RNG is way worse in 2 though. Frustratingly so.

Fights go like this:

Spoiler: click to toggle

It quite regularly just goes yeeeeuh they critical you for 100+ damage...oh you only have 50 hit points? Shame.

I recommend dumping 1-2 points in to energy weapons and 1-2 points in to Big Guns every level, it pays off a lot later.

Also you may have already seen this but don't EVER give Ian a weapon with burst fire, he will kill you, lots.
Definitely will have to keep that in mind when I beat Fallout 1.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I remember one boss in Bloodborne f***ed me over for ages, some big skeletal electric beast.

Massive douchebag with stupidly unavoidable attacks.

Great game though, much prefer it to Dark Souls. Same with Nioh, it's on the more "fun" side of things.

I just got Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen a couple of days ago...

It's a little crude in some ways but damn fine game, can't believe I missed it. The combat is so damn solid, you can flail yourself about all over the only thing that's a little clunky is climbing up monsters.
Oh yeah, you can climb up monsters, SotC style though not as big. Way fun, do it all yourself too not some button prompt borefest.

And best of all...AI COMPANIONS THAT ARE...FUNCTIONAL AND HELPFUL?
What is this sorcery?

Man, Capcom is nowhere near as good these days.

This video speaks to me on a spiritual level:

It has it's good points but GTAV has to be one of the most over rated games ever. Maybe even more than Skyrim. Actually definitely more since Skyrim has way more actual content.
GTAV is just an empty feeling sandbox unless you play multiplayer, if you don't want to play multiplayer...sucks to be you.

This is why RDR2 no longer excites me, I can only assume it will be mostly designed around the online stuff but it'll probably still get rave reviews cuz "It's Rockstar!"

I actually kinda want to go back and play GTAIV now, never finished it.
So much more fun to dick around in, especially with the way you fly out of windows. The physics are so much more satisfying in literally every way.

Used to love going in my apartment and getting a conga line of cops to come up the stairs, then shooting one in the leg so they all fall down. Hilarious.

What the hell happened to GTA since...

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I lost interest in GTA after San Andreas. I played that a f*** tonne, as well as Vice City, but I lost interest in GTA IV about halfway through.

Man, San Andreas is still so much fun to play.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Yeah San Andreas was the peak for me. Vice City was awesome too but San Andreas took it that step further.

It's sad how so much of what it had is just gone, being able to learn Karate and stuff like that was brilliant.
As well as just being able to be a total mad fat guy.

And all the cheats, soooo many cheats.

Rockstar love money, hope they re-release GTAIV I want to actually finish it now.
Plus the online was great fun when people played it.

I remember one time I created a race on the longest track and as a joke I went on a moped, everyone else was a supercar or superbike...
I won.
They all drove so fast that they fell off the freeways and stuff, died and then I won. It was brilliant.

San Andreas is overrated to me. I don't find the story compelling and many areas feel empty to me. Some of the characters are pretty cool though like CJ and Ryder, but it's not enough to redeem the bad points.

I've been playing a lot of SimCity recently (the newest one since it's the only City game with online multiplayer). I think my friend's guidance and me understanding city builders better now has gotten me ready for Cities Skylines.

I think they all are really, none of them have particularly amazing stories.

Vice City probably has the best one, of those I've played.

Never actually finished San Andreas either, the allure of having massive battles in the sky with jets was always too strong.

Compared to something like Red Dead Redemption no GTA story is all that great and definitely none of the main characters are as awesome as John Marston.
