I've been speedrunning lately and as I've become better at my selected game (Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers for the NES) I want to speedrun other games in the future. Probably only NES and SNES games. Retro is my world now.

^^ That's because retro games actually have substance and aren't all about flash and pizazz.

I don't think I 100% agree with that.

It's just an exaggeration. There certainly are a ton of games coming out lately that lack any real depth, though. 6 hour long campaigns are laaaaame.

I agree with that. I think most blockbuster (AAA) games lack depth, though I don't really follow that too much. I like more obscure games.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Gah, playing Skyrim really makes me want a new Elder Scrolls.

As good as Skyrim is it's also f***ing terrible. I'm aiming to get the platinum for PS4 and Dawnguard makes it a God damn nightmare.

Really, who thought it was a good idea to have random vampire attacks where any NPC's around hop in and get instantly murdered? I wish they'd patch that out or at least make NPC's scale with enemies because at the moment I have level 50 or so Ancient Vampire's appearing and one shotting almost everyone.

Just urgh.

Skyrim is filled with so many little annoyances like that...but it's so damn good too!

Playing this makes me super glad that most NPC's in Fallout 4 are "Protected", this is just nonsense.

After re-playing the Mass Effect trilogy, I decided to give Andromeda a go.

The single-player is just so.... meh. Everything just feels half-assed, it's very buggy. The Asari literally all have the same faces. The story itself is very uninspired, and the dialogue is cheesy as f***. Combat should be superior to the OT, but the level design is so plain and the enemies do nothing aside from sitting in cover, it ruins what should've been an upgrade in gameplay. s***, you can't even tell your squadmates which power to use anymore!

This game has had 2 big patches already and it still feels rushed. BioWare really let me down this time, this is like Space DA: Inquisition with a UI that's even more dumbed down.

I guess the only upside to this is that I had some fun playing Andromeda's multiplayer with some friends. I was a fan of 3's multiplayer though, its fun to play as the other races in Mass Effect.

Honestly never saw the appeal to Mass Effect or Dragon Age.

I've watched gameplay of both and have played a bit of Inquisition(it was £3 so thought f*** it I'll buy it)
Just seems like 99% of the effort is put in to having a massive amount of lore but that doesn't automatically make a game fulfilling.

Loving Prey atm, not sure why people hate it so much. Most of the reasons seem pretty sad "It's not like the old Prey!" or "Ugh the graphics aren't that good" seem to be the main reasons. Silly reasons.

Been damn fun to play, so many nooks and crannies to explore in the ship and exploration actually feels rewarding due to that. So many places you can jump up to that in most games would be pointless but you end up finding useful items in Prey.

The main problem for me is that it doesn't really tell you where to go all that well, there's a fantastic amount of freedom in that some parts of the ship you don't even need to go to ever but in the first couple of hours it just sort of plops you in and says "Yeah, do whatever" when you don't really know how to play the game yet.

I can see why people didn't like the demo due to that but that said, the demo doesn't do the rest of the game justice at all.

Holy crap...E3 has been such a bore fest this year.

Sony's conference was so dull, here's some videos, bye.

New Spiderman looks cool and more awesomeness from God of War. That's really it.

VR FFXV fishing looks fun for the few people who have VR.

Shadow of the Colossus remake...? Why but okay.

Only things that really got me going were Wolfenstein 2 and Metro.

Next year seems like it's going to be great.

Nintendo hasn't done their thing yet, it's almost like the rest of them just went "Alright Nintendo, the Switch needs some help so you guys have this one"

It's up to Nintendo to save it now.

Well, tbh I haven't seen any of the press conferences this year. But yeah, I'm only interested in Nintendo this year.

It sounds like DevolverDigital and Ubisoft of all things were the best ones. That said I don't see how anything Ubisoft showed was all that, same old same old.

Forgot about Days Gone, looks pretty cool still but not much to shout about yet.
Feels like Sony just wasn't ready for E3, no Death Stranding or TLOU2.

This is a great opportunity for Nintendo, they better hope they've not just brought some indies and one first party title.

And dear God they better not mention Skyrim.

It's tiring how much that game has been milked, I doubt TES VI will even have a chance at that kind of exposure.

I think I'm more than anything disappointed we didn't, yet again, hear anything from Square about Kingdom Hearts 3. Though I suppose that's to be expected.

Yeah I've never cared for Kingdom Hearts but damn that game has a loooot to live up to.

Square Enix really need to sort themselves out, they seem to make way too many games and take too long to do it. I fear they're heading down the drain to fight over scraps with Konami.

EDIT Metroid Prime 4 announced.

That will please folk, no trailer or anything yet just says it's in development.

Nintendo owned E3. Two new Metroids, a new Super Mario, and a new 3D Pokemon RPG for the Switch. :w00t: :w00t:
